[Verse 1: 2Pac]
Now of course I want peace on the streets, but realistically
Paintin' perfect pictures ain't never worked, my misery
Was so deep, couldn't sleep through all my pressures
In my quest for cash I learned fast, usin' violent measures
Memories of adolescent years, there was unity
But after puberty, we brought war to our community
So many bodies droppin', it's gotta stop, I wanna help
But still I'm steppin', keep my weapon, must protect myself
The promise of a better tomorrow ain't never reached me
Plus my teachers was too petrified in class to teach me
Sippin' Thunderbird and grape Kool-Aid, callin' Earl
Since my stomach was empty it seduced me to fuck the world
Watch my lil' homies lose they childhoods to guns
Nobody cries no more, ‘cause we all die for fun
So why you ask me if I want peace if you can't grant it?
Niggas fightin' across the whole planet
So it could never be peace

[Hook 1: 2Pac]
Will there ever be peace, or are we all, just headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walk the streets
‘Cause there could never be peace

[Verse 2: Marvaless]
No time to rest, they stressed out
I can't remember the days my homie was here
Now a days we live in fear, the struggle still here
So now who's grabbin there strap, Who's gettin' burnt wild
Representin' the generation of killers when I was a child
Had many dreams, the reality kept me and my homie stressin'
Tryna' raise my baby girl to be the strongest
Knowin' I'm doin' wrongest
I never had a bright day
Just drunkless and smokin' blunts and gettin' pay day
Wishin' my partner made it
It was peace [?] was deceased I know there'll never be
All my tears were shed when i lost my homie number three
It's gettin' harder to see impossiblity should we just face it
Can't get through the pain but still I can't erase it
So many trials and tribulations, the things we facin'
Wicked days, can't see no brighter days, it's time to chase it
Cross dreams 'cause the scene is when you never get by
That's why I gotta stay high, you never know when you die
My heart'll never leave the ghetto I know to rise only in peace
That's why I say, there ain't never goin' to be no peace
End

[Hook 2: 2Pac]
So will there ever be peace
Or are we all just headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walk the streets
Fool there'll never be peace

[Verse 3: Storm]
Livin' like lonely, but I can't even cry
'Cause visions of deceptions all around, got my eyes full of despise Who can I trust, why even try
They say the world is mines, but I know it's a lie
Livin' to die, set up from birth, steady dreamin'
Wishin' for better days, but all I see is daemons
Close my eyes and remenise of my childhood
But all I felt was pain for my arrival
No memories of nothin' nice
Nothin' but blinder reminders of my future life
I'm freakin' out, I'm gettin' closer to that other level
Will I be strong with game or just a heartless devil
I hope I'm able to find peace in me
'Cause there is Storm 64 inches deep in me
And I try to do the right, but it's the wrong things
That seem to bring me right back to this dirty game
There'll never be peace

[Hook 3: 2Pac]
Fuck peace!
Will there ever be peace, or are we all just, headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walk the streets
Fool, there'll never be peace
Will there ever be peace, or are we all just, headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walks the streets
Nigga, there'll never be peace
Will there ever be peace, or are we all just, headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walk the streets
Nigga, there'll never be peace
Will there ever be peace?

[Outro: 2Pac]
Shit, fuck peace!
On the strength 'til my niggas get a piece, we can't have peace
How the fuck we gon' live happy when we ain't got nothing?
You motherfuckers are smilin', but I'm mean muggin'
Why? ‘Cause I gotta be thuggin'
It seems drugs done turned this whole mothafuckin' hood out
All us niggas actin' up, wild-ass motherfuckin' adolescents
These niggas ain't even got no childhoods no more
How the fuck can you have a childhood
And you at the funeral every motherfuckin' weekend?
Pssh, and you motherfuckers talkin' about peace?
Nigga, it ain't no motherfuckin' peace
You ain't seen the news motherfucker? You ain't heard?
Lil' babies gettin' smoked, motherfuckers killin' they whole family
Lil' kids gettin' thrown off buildings
Motherfuckers gettin' abused
Peace? Nigga, is you out your fuckin' mind?
Fuck peace! We can't never have peace
'Til you motherfuckers clean up this mess you made
'Til you fuckin' clean up the dirt you dropped
'Til we get a piece, fuck peace!
Westside, Death Row, Outlaw Immortalz, Thug Life baby
You know how we do this shit
That was Storm, Marvaless and Pac

[Final hook: 2Pac]
Will there ever be peace
Or are we all just headed for doom?
Still consumed by the beast?
And I know there'll never be peace
That's why I keep my pistol when I walk the streets
'Cause there'll never be peace

2Pac

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), known by his stage names 2Pac and Makaveli, was an actor and a highly influential rapper who is considered by many to be the greatest of all-time due to the revolutionary spirit and thug passion he mixed into his music. During his music career, he made appearances in movies such as his acclaimed debut in Juice (1992), Poetic Justice (1993), and Above the Rim (1994).

Born in Harlem, New York City to Black Panther Party members Billy Garland and Afeni Shakur, Tupac would later move to Baltimore before settling in the Bay Area cities of Oakland and Marin City in the late 1980s. There, he joined his first rap group Strictly Dope with Ray Luv before connecting with Shock G and Digital Underground. He was a roadie and backup dancer for the group before his breakthrough performance on their 1991 song “Same Song.”

2Pac released his debut album 2Pacalypse Now in 1991, which featured intense storytelling on singles such as “Trapped” and “Brenda’s Got a Baby.” His sophomore album Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z featured one of his signature songs, the Digital Underground-assisted “I Get Around.” After working on the Thug Life group album in 1994, 2Pac released Me Against the World the following year, which is considered by many to be his best album, peaking at #1 on the Billboard 200 and receiving a Grammy nomination—all while he sat in prison.
