[Verse 1]
I'm 20 something going on 20 something else
And I’m years beyond my wise, I’m falling apart
Welcome to my head, I reside here by myself
I take what keeps me up at night at sell it as art

[Pre-Chorus]
I tell my parents when they call that there ain’t nothing wrong at all
But they can see my nose grow longer through the phone

[Chorus]
I just found out that the world goes on without me
I slow down, yeah, but it’s still too fast
And I can only run until I’m out of breath
I just found out that the world goes on without me
I slow down, yeah, but it’s still too fast
And I can only run until I’m out of breath
(I can only run until I’m out of breath)

[Verse 2]
I met someone who loves me like I never could
And so I hold her heart when my head gets in the way
We live in shambles like a 20 something should
And, yeah, it rains a lot, but the rainbows make it worth it

[Pre-Chorus]
I tell my parents when they call that there ain’t nothing wrong at all
But they can see my nose grow long right through the phone

[Chorus]
I just found out that the world goes on without me
I slow down, yeah, but it’s still too fast
And I can only run until I’m out of breath
I just found out that the world goes on without me
I slow down, yeah, but it’s still too fast
And I can only run until I’m out of breath

[Outro]
I'm 20 something going on 20 something else
And I’m years beyond my wise, I'm falling apart
