[Verse 1]
Love, it's in my blood
A little dart through my heart
Taking over me
It even crawled up into my philosophy
Oh, love, it's in my blood

[Verse 2]
You, you're my perfume
Liquid sin on my skin
Lilacs on your tongue
Bloom inside my hungry mouth, one by one
Oh, you, you're my perfume

[Verse 3]
Pain, it's in my veins
It's in the scars on my guitar
No more songs to play
Melodies are empty since you went away
Oh, pain, it's in my veins

[Bridge]
You brought me the moon and the stars when you came
You tattooed my soul with your name
Burning with memories I cannot erase
Tears dig their claws down my face

[Verse 4]
Hope, it's in these notes
It's in the blade of this crusade
To bring you back to me
You will see together we are meant to be
Oh, hope, it's in these notes

[Verse 5]
Love, you're in my blood
You are the dart through my heart
Taking over me
You even crawled up into my philosophy
Oh, love, you're in my blood
Your love; yes, it's in my blood
In my blood, in my blood
You're in my blood
