Songwriter: Angela Aki

[Verse 1]
What are the roses for?
Petals of red velvet
It isn't my birthday or Valentines yet
So, what are the roses for?

[Verse 3]
What are the diamonds for?
Galaxies trapped in stone
The magic of Christmas has come and it's gone
So what are the diamonds for?

[Chorus]
Dancing, avoiding the truth
Romancing comes easy for you
My heart aches for answers, I can't let this moment pass
So I'll ask

[Verse 3]
What are there kisses for?
Softer than autumn's breath
Your lips taste of secrets, a hint of regret
So what are these kisses for?
Woah, ooh

[Chorus]
Living, avoiding the truth
Or knowing what you can't undo
My heart has tow choices; I can't let this moment pass
So I'll ask

[Outro]
What are the roses for?
Presents so passionate
It isn't my birthday or Valentines yet
So, what are the roses for?
What are the roses for?
What are the roses for?

[Outro]
Bom, bom, bom
