[Verse 1: AJ]
Once we were lovers
Just lovers we were
Oh, what a lie
Once we were dreamers
Just dreamers we were
Oh, you and I

[Pre-Chorus: Brian]
Now I see you're just somebody
Who wastes all my time and money
What a lie, you and I

[Chorus: All]
What about your
Your 10,000 promises
That you gave me?
Your 10,000 promises
That you promised me

[Verse 2: AJ]
Once I could handle the truth
When the truth was you and I, mmmh
But time after time
All the promises turned out to be all lies
And now...

[Pre-Chorus: AJ with Nick, Nick & AJ]
Now I see you're just somebody
Who wasted my time and money
What a lie
Oh what a lie, (what a lie) oh-oh you
You and I (oh you and I)

[Chorus: All & AJ]
What about your
Your 10,000 promises
That you gave me? (to me, baby)
Your 10,000 promises
That you promised me

[Bridge: All]
You say I'll take you back
But I closed the door
'Cause I don't want 10,000 more

[Interlude: Brian & All]
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (oh-oh!)
10,000 promises yeah
10,000 promises you gave to me

[Chorus: All & AJ]
What about your
Your 10,000 promises
That you gave me?
Your 10,000 promises
That you promised me
(What about your)
Your 10,000 promises
(10,000 promises you gave to me)
That you gave me?
(What about your, what about your)
Your 10,000 promises
(10,000 promises you gave to me)

[Outro: Brian]
Once we were lovers
Just lovers we were
Oh you and I, what a lie

Backstreet Boys

The Backstreet Boys are the most successful boy band in history, having sold over 130 million records worldwide, and with their first nine albums reaching the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Florida natives A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough, and Nick Carter, along with Kentucky transplant Kevin Richardson, were joined in a band once they attended Lou Pearlman’s auditions for a vocal group in 1992, with the group being completed by Kevin’s cousin Brian Litrell. Once took under the wing of Swedish producer Max Martin in 1995, the stage was set for global domination, attracting the lust of women and the anger of men. While the fad died down and Kevin even left for a while, the band never officially took a break or such.
