"Pray" was the third single released from MC Hammer's third album, Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em. Produced by MC Hammer himself, the song heavily samples Prince's smash-hit song, "When Doves Cry", the first and one of the few songs legally sanctioned by Prince to incorporate samples of one of his compositions. The track also samples Faith No More's "We Care a Lot". "Pray" became Hammer's biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at #2 (kept from the top spot by Mariah Carey's "Love Takes Time") Read more on Last.fm.

[Verse 1]
Wait a minute, let me finish
I know you don't care
But can you listen?
I came committed, guess I overdid it
Wore my heart out on a chain
Around my neck, but now it's missin', hmm

[Refrain]
Da-da-da-da-da-da (Hmm)
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da (Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm)
Oh, hmm, hmm

[Chorus]
So I think I better go
I never really know how to please you
You're lookin' at me like I'm see-through
I guess I'm gonna go
I just never know how you feel
Do you even feel anything?

[Refrain]
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da
Oh, hmm, hmm

[Verse 2]
You said, "Don't treat me badly"
But you said it so sadly
So I did the best I could
Not thinkin' you would have left me gladly
I know you're not sorry
Why should you be?
'Cause who am I to be in love
When your love never is for me?
Me

[Refrain]
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da (Hmm)
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da (Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm)
Oh, hmm, hmm

[Chorus]
So I think I better go
I never really know how to please you
You're lookin' at me like I'm see-through
I guess I'm gonna go
I just never know how you feel
Do you even feel anything?

Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (b. December 18, 2001), known professionally as Billie Eilish, is an American singer and songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles, California.

Working alongside her older brother Finneas, her co-writer and producer, she’s taken the internet by storm with her haunting vocals and eerily beautiful lyrics and production that was poised to breakout.

For Billie, creating music wasn’t always her niche—dancing was. Born and raised in the entertainment mecca of Los Angeles, from a family comprised of musicians and actors, Billie was enthralled in the spotlight of dance. However, amid a growth plate injury in 2015, occurring in practice for a recital she was dancing eleven hours a week for, she became an underground pop sensation.
