[Verse 1]
Ridin' down this road
Like I've ridden down a million
I've run through every roadblock in this town
I laughed at all the signs
That say speed'll kill ya
It took you to slow me down

[Pre-Chorus]
And I've forgotten
How to fly
But I'll remember
Before I die

[Chorus]
It's a crooked line I follow
It's a rocky road I ride
It's a bitter pill I swallow
Just to keep you by my side
Oh, I

[Verse 2]
Oh, I might sing some blues
Like there just ain't no tomorrow
'cause misery is always colorblind
I've taken every remedy for ignorance and sorrow
Something to cure this wicked mind

[Pre-Chorus]
And I've forgotten
How to fly
But I'll remember
Before I die

[Chorus]
It's a crooked line I follow
And a rocky road I ride
It's a bitter pill I swallow
Just to keep you by my side
Just to keep you satisfied

[Bridge]
I work
So hard

[Pre-Chorus]
And I've forgotten
The reasons why
But I'll remember
Before I die

[Chorus]
It's a crooked line I follow
It's a rocky road I ride
It's a bitter pill I swallow
Just to keep you by my side
Just to keep you satisfied
Just to keep you by my side
Satisfied, satisfied
It's a wicked world, baby

[Verse 1]
Ridin' down this road
Like I've ridden down a million
I've run through every roadblock in this town
I laughed at all the signs
That say speed'll kill ya
It took you to slow me down

[Outro]
It took you to slow me down
It took you to slow me down
It took you to slow me down
It took you to slow me down
It took you to slow me down

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
