The Greyhound's rocking out tonight
To maximum rockabilly
When two punks choose to risk the subway
For a tube to Piccadilly
The Zephrys stir fast gangs for glory
Another dumb casualty
I'm having fun
In South West six
A hidden flick knife flicks
Oh, kiss me, kiss me deadly, tonight

Another battle was won and lost
Down The Bishops End last night
And the spotlight, it hit the kids in triumph
With a thousand scarves in, in flight, see how they run
I said, we run from the terraces in black and white
Young and old into the fight
You're having fun
In South West Six
With violence for a fix
Oh, kiss me, kiss me deadly, tonight

Seven o'clock we stand in rank
For the thirty bus uptown
And later in a downstairs room
She pulls her lover down
In ecstasy, but they can't make a sound
In case her mother might come down
I'm having fun
In South West Six
With violence for a s -oh, fuck
Oh, kiss me, kiss me deadly, tonight

[guitar solo]

The snooker halls, they are empty
'Cause we're all out playing pool
Yes, I'm hustling down the Fulham Road
For a deal with Mr. Cool
Well, we're all out on the waterfront now instead of being at school
Too old now, even to dig pinball
I'm having fun
In South West Six
I'm having fun
When a hidden flick knife flicks
With violence for a fix
I discover teenage sex
I tried shooting up for..
I said kiss me, kiss me deadly
I said kiss me, kiss me deadly
I said kiss me, I said dead-, dead-, deadly
Kiss me, kiss me tonight

Billy Idol

Billy Idol is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Unlike other British punk rock artists of his era, Idol was inspired by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven “Second British Invasion” of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as “Dancing With Myself”, “White Wedding”, “Rebel Yell” and “Eyes Without a Face” made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.

Idol’s 1987 release, “Mony Mony” reached #1 on the US top 40 charts; his songs to chart in the top 10 include: White Wedding, Eyes Without a Face, To Be a Lover and Cradle of Love.
