[Intro]
Yeah, yeah, yeah-ayy, yeah
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh

[Chorus]
I wanna live life fast, I don't know how to slow down
I wanna get high, I don't know how to come down
Help me now, I'm on runnin' on empty
And I don't wanna be a memory

[Refrain]
Tryna find the beauty in the letdown
Goin' through my text now
Tryna find the things I never said to prove a point
I'ma roll my feelings in a joint
Pieces of the story that got left out, I checked out
Wish it was, I wish it was, I wish it was a fade
Nothin' you could do and there's nothin' you could say
Runnin' from the, runnin' from the, runnin' from the pain
I get away, ayy-ayy

[Chorus]
I wanna live life fast, I don't know how to slow down
I wanna get high, I don't know how to come down
Help me now, I'm on runnin' on empty
And I don't wanna be a memory
Live life fast, I don't know how to slow down
I wanna get high, I don't know how to come down
Help me now, I'm on runnin' on empty
And I don't wanna be a memory

[Post-Chorus]
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh
And I don't wanna be a memory
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh

I get away, ayy-ayy (I get away, ayy-ayy, I get away, ayy-ayy, I get away, ayy-ayy)

And I don't wanna be a memory
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh

[Bridge]
Ayy, ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
Drinkin' every day 'til the memories fade away
Ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
I don't wanna die but I don't wanna live this way
Ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
Ayy, ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
Drinkin' every day 'til the memories fade away
Ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
I don't wanna die but I don't wanna live this way
Ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah

[Outro]
Ayy, ee-yeah, ee-yeah, ee-yeah
And I don't wanna be a memory

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
