[Intro]
Aw, yeah, aw, yeah, aw, yeah, yeah
I'll spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh

[Verse 1]
Don't make me wait around any longer, thought I told you
That I could hold you down, I could show you, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Why ain't you tryna call me your baby, like what's the deal?
Gettin' tired of all the explaining, tell me if this real
You want it, baby, just say it, boy, quit playin'
Can't wait around the whole summer long

[Pre-Chorus]
I was thinking later on, we could go out
Turn the radio, radio down
You know, you know, you know
I'll spend my summer love, spend my summer love on you

[Chorus]
Spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh
What do we got left to do, to do?
I'll figure out the rest with you, with you
And spend my summer love on you

[Post-Chorus]
And spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh
And spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh

[Verse 2]
Why you been actin' kinda shady, like you for real?
Stop breakin' plans and changin', tell me something real
If you want it baby, just say it, could be us but you playin'
Don't wait around the whole summer long

[Pre-Chorus]
I was thinking later on, we could go out
Turn the radio, radio down
You know, you know, you know
I'll spend my summer love, spend my summer love on you

[Chorus]
Spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh
What do we got left to do, to do?
I'll figure out the rest with you, with you
And spend my summer love on you
Spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh
What do we got left to do, to do?
I'll figure out the rest with you, with you
And spend my summer love on you

[Post-Chorus]
And spend my summer love on you, ooh-ooh-ooh

[Outro]
You know, you know, you know
I'll spend my summer love, spend my summer love on you

blackbear

blackbear is the stage name of LA-based producer and singer-songwriter Mat Musto, popularly known for co-writing Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” in 2012. Some of his first collaborations were with the likes of Pharrell Williams, MGK, and Childish Gambino. Later, Musto reinvented himself—he coined the name blackbear from a previous EP titled Year of the Blackbear. Under his new name, he started leaning more towards rapping and an R&B-oriented style.

His first mixtape Sex included collaborations with his peers James Blake, Maejor Ali, and “Boyfriend” co-writer Mike Posner. The Afterglow followed in 2014.

In 2015, blackbear released “idfc,” as the lead single from his debut album Deadroses. It increased his fan following and revenue, earning him millions of playback streams and a spot on Billboard’s Uncharted List of Undiscovered and Upcoming Artists. The second single, “90210,” included a feature from G-Eazy—blackbear made an appearance in his 2014 track, “Remember You.”
