[Verse 1]
In Babylon
On the boulevard of broken dreams
My will power at the lowest ebb
Oh what can I do?
Oh buccaneer
Can you help me put my truck in gear?
Can you take me far away from here?
Save my soul from sin?

You want to get away you've had it man
Nothing's going right
So come sit on the sands of the island
Island of Lost Souls

No luxuries, no no amenities
Too dull, your senses
Oh oh only primitive
"Hey hey really get away," is what he said

[Chorus]
Where did he go?
I'm tired of waiting here for him
Where can he be?
He's not with me
Where did he go?
What will I do alone?
Why did he run, run away from me?

[Verse 2]
The sky is blue the sea is warm and clear
And golden sands are calling out to you inviting
Make a new man out of you

You can come for a while come with a friend
Forget about work start all over again
Let the real you through, here's what we do

[Chorus]

[Verse 3]
No luxuries, no no amenities
Too dull, your senses
Oh oh only primitive
Hey hey really get away
Island of Lost Souls

[Outro]
Ayyou ayyou ayyou Island of Lost Souls

Blondie

Blondie is an American rock band founded by singer Deborah Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk scenes of the mid-1970s. Their first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next three years, the band achieved several hit singles including “Call Me”, “Atomic” and “Heart of Glass” and became noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles incorporating elements of disco, pop, rap, and reggae, while retaining a basic style as a new wave band.
