[Verse 1]
Some people climb big mountains
To see what they can see
Some cross mighty oceans
Hopin' to be free

[Verse 2]
We fight through the condescension
We scrape and crawl through the rust
We rail at the difference
We long for someone we can trust

[Chorus]
I will remember you
No matter what you do
Just give me one last wish
I will remember you

[Bridge]
There's only so much babe
There's only so much I can say (Ooh)
I wish I had the words
That would take it all away

[Chorus]
I will remember this
Every dream I wish
Every rise and fall
I will remember all
The touch of your hand and then
The passion that had no end
The heart that would never quit
I will remember it

[Outro]
I'll remember you, babe

On his studio albums, he also worked extensively with the Alabama-based Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which appeared on several of Seger’s best-selling singles and albums.

In 1976, he achieved a national breakout with the studio album Night Moves. The Night Moves title track became his first Billboard Top 5 single and the album started a string six consecutive albums landing in the Billbaord Top 10. The 1980 album, Against the Wind, topped the charts.
