[Verse 1]
I guess now it's time for me to give up
I feel it's time
Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup, hey yeah

Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

[Chorus]
Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
I want you back, I want you back
I want you back for good

Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back, I want you back
I want you back for good

[Verse 2]
Unaware but underlined
I figured out this story, it wasn't good
But in the corner of my mind I celebrated glory
But that was not to be

In the twist of separation
You excelled at being free
Can't you find a little room inside for me? Oh

[Chorus]
Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
I want you back, I want you back
I want you back for good

Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back, I want you back
I want you back for good

[Bridge]
And we'll be together, yeah, this time is forever
Oh, we'll be fighting and forever we will be
So complete in our love
We will never be uncovered again, oh whoa

[Chorus]
Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
I want you back, I want you back
I said I want you back for good

Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood
I want you back, I want you back
I said I want you

Whatever I said, whatever I did, I didn't mean it
I just want I just want you
I want you back, I want you back
For good

Whenever I'm wrong
Just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right
I want you back, I want you back
And understood (for good)

Whatever I said just tell me
Where can I find
I want you oh
I want you back, I want you
I want you back for good
Oooh

[Outro]
Whenever I'm wrong I'll tell you
I want you back, I want you back
I want you back for good

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
