Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala
Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala
Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala
Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala

[Verse 1: Shawn Stockman]
Looking out
Into the night-time
The city winks a sleepless eye
Hear her voice
Shake my window
Sweet seducing sighs

Get me out
Into the night-time
Four walls won't hold me tonight, no
If this town
Is just an apple
Then let me take a bite

[Chorus]
If they say
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
If they say
Why, why, just tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way

La-da-da-da-da

[Verse 2: Nathan Morris]
Reaching out
To touch a stranger
Electric eyes are everywhere
See that girl
And she knows I'm watching
She likes the way I stare

[Chorus]
And if they say
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
If they say
Why, why, just tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
I like livin' this way
I like lovin' this way

Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala
Lala-dada-dada-dada-dada-lala

[Verse 3: Wanya Morris]
Looking out
Across the morning
The city's heart begins to beat
Reaching out
I touch her shoulder
I'm dreaming of the street

[Chorus]
If they say
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
If they say
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
If they say
Why, why, just tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
Why, why, tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way
Why, why, just tell 'em that is human nature
Why, why, does he do me that way...

Boyz II Men

Boyz II Men is an R&B vocal quartet from Philadelphia who became the most successful pop group of the 1990s. They’re best known for their passionate ballads, including the number one hits “End of The Road,” “On Bended Knee,” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”

An early version of the group was founded by Nathan Morris in the mid 1980s while attending the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, where he recruited students Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary. Singer Marc Nelson was also an early member, but left the group before their big break.

The group—who took its name from New Edition’s song “Boys To Men”—was discovered in 1988 after auditioning for New Edition’s Michael Bivins backstage at a concert. Bivins signed the group to his management company and secured them a contract with Motown Records.
