He was a king without a crown
Thy hanged him on on his throne
And nailed him in the ground
The prophet, he upon the tree
Sacrificed himself for the whole world to see
He bled for you, he bled for me
On that day, that day on Calvary
It was a day, forget I never will
It was the day the earth stood still

It was for real
Upon the hill
The Savior gave his life
So you and I might live
He had to die
To pay redemption's price
It was the only day the angels ever cried
He died for you, he died for me
The lonely road on his way to Calvary
It was the day, forget I never will
It was the day the earth stood still

Then came Sunday morning
The angels sang and the stone it rolled away
It was the day, forget I never will
It was the day the earth stood still

So wipe your weeping eyes
Cause he died for you and I
And he's coming back again
So every time we sin
