[Chorus: Kevin Abstract]
I don't need a gun in my neighborhood
Back when I was, I was on tour with The Neighbourhood
I used to keep guns in my neighborhood
Now I wish a nigga would (Now I wish a nigga would)
Now I wish a nigga would (Cool)
I don't need a gun in my neighborhood
Back when I was, I was on tour with The Neighbourhood
I used to keep guns in my neighborhood
Now I wish a nigga would (Now I wish a nigga would)
Now I wish a nigga would (Cool)

[Verse 1: Kevin Abstract]
Probably gon' shoot me if they see me
Now I'm on your TV, looking for a genie
Told him I was genius, I don't do bleeding
I need another season, they ain't seeing what I'm seeing, no?
You might never wan' be me, no?
Even when my skin greasy, no?
McDonald's would've been the more fire option
The barely famous shit is getting really fucking toxic
I used to wanna be Ali, I tried to be a boxer
Until you told me I could sing just like Mariah
And started—right?

[Verse 2: Matt Champion]
Backup, I don't need no backup
Block out all the chatter
Missing all the gin lined up at the tavern
All the same pattern, chokin' on tobacco
Rinsing down my face in bathroom, ah
Up and down
I don't see me how you see me
Maybe not wanna be me, but I love me, love me down
Often I be with my baby, clear water runnin' navy
See me, are you ready?
Up and down

[Chorus: Kevin Abstract]
I don't need a gun in my neighborhood
Back when I was, I was on tour with The Neighbourhood
I used to keep guns in my neighborhood
Now I wish a nigga would (now I wish a nigga would)
Now I wish a nigga would
I don't need a gun in my neighborhood
Back when I was, I was on tour with The Neighbourhood
I used to keep guns in my neighborhood
Now I wish a nigga would (now I wish a nigga would)
Now I wish a nigga would (Cool)

[Verse 3: Joba]
Nevermind what I thought I knew
How could I know?
These days I just stay on the move
Need to go home, everything I ever wanted I got
Doesn't really make me happy, is this really what I wanted?
Oh God
When it feels right it's wrong, I swear
They tell me let go, let God
So I let go sometimes
Just to play with the fire
I come alive late at night
Been workin' overtime, got too much on my mind
An out of sight state of mind

[Spoken Word: Jim Carrey]
"What I want doesn't stem from showbusiness, uh, generally. I mean- I started out with many many desires as far as- as far as this business goes and uh, I've so surpassed all of them that I- that it's- it's not as meaningful to me anymore. I really love the work itself. I've examined myself on several occasions: 'Why am I really doing this? Am I doing this because I want to be famous?' And I think there was an element to that when I first started out, I wanted to be a rainmaker."
