[Verse 1]
I wanna get to know you, baby
Gotta get to know your name
Baby love I'm thinking 'bout you
Thinking 'bout you every day
When will there come a time
When will I have you for mine, baby?
All my friends they laugh and say
My man you'll never be
My hopes are running high
Inside I make believe
That one day you'll come along
And be the man of my dreams, baby

[Chorus]
Baby love, if I had you
Baby love, it'd mean everything to me
Baby love, I adore you
Baby love, baby love
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna love you
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna know your name
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I'm thinking of you
Ooh-yeah, ooh-yeah, baby
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna love you
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna know your name
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I'm thinking of you
Ooh-yeah, ooh-yeah, baby

[Verse 2]
One day I'll find you, baby
One day I'll have your love
People often call me crazy
Wondering what I'm thinking of
No matter what it takes
I'm gonna get to you
I'll give you everything
There's nothing I won't do
My heart just won't forgive me
If I can't let you in
We're gonna be so much more than lovers
Gonna be best friends
I know you hear my call
I know you feel my plea
I'll give you everything
You loving me, baby

[Chorus]
Baby love, if I had you
Baby love, it'd mean everything to me
Baby love, I adore you
Baby love, baby love
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna love you
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I wanna know your name
Shoo-be-doo-wop, I'm thinking of you

Brownstone

Brownstone is an female R&B trio that came to fame in the mid-90’s. The original members of the group were Nicci Gilbert, Monica “Mimi” Doby, and Charmayne “Maxee” Maxwell.

They released their debut album From The Bottom Up on Michael Jackson’s MJJ Music label. It featured the #1 R&B smash “If You Love Me”.

Before recording their second album Still Climbing, they replaced Monica “Mimi” Doby with Kina Cosper. The second album yielded a solid hit in “5 Miles To Empty”, but the group disbanded before a third album could materialize.
