[Verse 1]
You might've guessed, I'm quitting again
Can't keep losing sleep over it
Try to play pretend, try to make amends
With the last boy that I knew
That I grew close to
Gonna get married
Gonna have babies, I guess?
I close my eyes to forget

[Verse 2]
I'm drunk again, make my way to the lady
In the back of the room
She asked me, "Why are you hiding from me?"
Swear I didn't mean it
Know I'm just getting used to change
In things I knew
Things I grew up with
Things I screwed up too
They don't touch me the way that you do
I'm back in bloom
Soon back to crooning
'Til I get scared again
When I get scared again

[Outro]
I knew deep down
I knew deep down
I knew deep down
I knew deep down
I knew deep down
