Originally, Spitta was signed to Master P’s label “No Limit Records” and was a member of the 504 Boyz, lead by Master P. The name of the group was in reference to the area code in which they resided. However, in 2004, Curren$y signed with Cash Money Records and Young Money Entertainment, founded by Lil Wayne. Later leaving that, Curren$y is currently signed under Warner Bros. Music Group and has started his own imprint, “Jet Life Records”.

To date, Curren$y has released five studio albums, the most successful being the most recent, “The Stoned Immaculate” which peaked at number eight in the U.S. He has also released two collaboration albums, “Jet World Order”, and it’s sequel, “Jet World Order 2” with other members of Jet Life Records.
