I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby, it just happens every day

No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
Maybe if I look hard enough into a setting sun
I think my love will laugh with me before the morning comes

Mm, mm, mm...
Oh, oh, oh...

Paint it black (black, black)

Deadsy

Deadsy was an alternative metal band, formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1995. Each band member was represented by a different colour as well as correlating nickname and entity. Founding member, Elijah Blue Allman (son of Cher an Greg Allman), was characterized by the entity Academia, the colour International Klein Blue, and the nickname Phillips Exeter Blue I. Other members would don the entities grey-war, green-leisure, yellow-science/medicine, and red/black-horror. The band released three studio albums, though many songs from the first, self-titled album, were carried onto the second album, Commencement. The band was supported by alternative metal pioneers Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst. Since the release of Phantasmagore in 2006, Deadsy has been on hiatus.
