Darlin'...
You know you've got the cruelest streak
You only say you love just to
Keep me weak
Your loving words have kept me here for
Many years
I'm leavin...I'll face the tears
You know that

No-one's gonna be a fool forever
Ain't no-one gonna be a fool for life
No-one's gonna be a fool forever
This fool is gonna say goodbye

Beautiful plans are hard to forget
You promised me a family
A little girl with braids skipping
Off to school
A part of you and me will never be
You know that

No-one's gonna be a fool forever
Ain't no-one gonna be a fool for life
No-one's gonna be a fool forever
This fool is gonna say goodbye

No-one's gona be a fool forever
This fool is gonna say goodbye

Darlin
I'm leaving you, but with regrets
Everything I have for you is gone
There's nothing left
You had me apologize for things
I didn't do
To keep my self-respect
I'm leaving you
You know that

No-one's gonna be a fool forever
Ain't no-one gonna be a fool for life
No-one's gonna be a fool forever
This fool is gonna say goodbye
