Aahh, can you say New York City?
Yeah, Saturday Night Live
We gonna set it off like this, y'all
Check it!
Huh

I been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth

I been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth

[Verse 1: Dr. Dre]
No question, it's all about the D-O-E
So if money is the root I want the whole damn tree
Ain't tryna stick around for Illuminati
Got to buy my own island by the year 2G
Since way back, I've been collectin' my fee
With the 48 tracks and the M-I-C
Got a palace in the Hills overlookin' the sea
It's worth eight, but I only paid five point three
Worldwide, like the triple beam I slide
Listenin' to your demo in the stretch limo
Is how I ride, cartel style, vaults stacked to the max now
A million dollar smile, people wonder how
"Dre Day" every day
Trips to Montego Bay with more chips than Frito-Lay
Floss jewels and attire, ain't nothin' flyer
Straight or illegal, it's still the root of all evil, cause

I been there, and done that
You got guns? So what? I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth

You know, I been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth
Yeah

[Backup singers Dr. Dre]
You know you're fading
Out of my life
Huh yeah that's right
And I think it's about time
That you leave

[Verse 2]
The young black Rockefeller
Hella Swiss and mozzarella
Pockets sweller
Gettin' money like a bank teller
Cause a fool and his dough soon split
So when you come across a fool get all that you can get
Ladies, get your paper too
Don't expect for no man to support you, keep it true
Most brothers erase those that's out for the pesos
My woman's independent, makin' dough by the caseloads
I'mma keep buildin', make a killin'
Kick back relax, and grow old with my millions
That's where it's at, you got drama, I got the gat
But we both black, so I don't wanna lay you flat
Instead let's get paper, while it's paper to get
Private jet, 600 Coupes, then I run Vettes
I'm livin' on another level that y'all ain't been yet
Spend a mill', no sweat, water the lawn with Moet

Been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth

Huh, I been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth
Yeah

[Backup singers Dr. Dre]
Gotta get that money, baby
That's right
Gotta get that cash
Dollar dollar bill, y'all
You know what I need now, baby
This is the aftermath

[Verse 3]
This is for the millionaires, throw a stack in the air
Watch brothers start plottin', honeys start to stare
Cause game is money, money is game
Broke brothers make the four-five flame with no shame
Now many people die over these dead green guys
Ignorance and greed take they ass by surprise
It's the root of all evil and sins
Yet and still it makes the world go around like my 20 inch rims
Moolah y'all, platinum plaques cover my walls
Grindin, diamonds shinin, without one flaw
Get the cash, the grass, the ass, the bounce
Luciano in all amounts, that's all that counts, cause

I been there, and done that
You got guns? Ayo, I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth

You know I been there, and done that
You got guns? So what? I got straps
Cuz there's a million people on the planet Earth
That talk that hard nonsense cause that's all they worth
Yeah

[Outro: Dr. Dre]
Yeah
Welcome to The Aftermath

Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre is a Grammy Award-winning rapper, producer, and mogul who is considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop producer of all time. He raised the profile of West Coast rap after he helped pioneer the sounds of gangsta rap in the 1980s with N.W.A and helped popularize the G-Funk sound in the 1990s with his label Death Row Records before changing his sound again after he established Aftermath Entertainment. Dre assisted in the rise of hip-hop stars Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar, while producing hits for many other artists. He also became a mogul with his Beats empire and partnership with Apple, helping him become one of the richest musicians in the business.

Born Andre Romelle Young in Compton, California on February 18, 1965, Dr. Dre started as a club and radio DJ. In 1984, he joined the music group World Class Wreckin Cru, which featured producer DJ Yella. Dre’s cousin Sir Jinx introduced him to a rapper named Ice Cube, and they later connected with Compton hustler Eazy-E, rapper MC Ren and producer Arabian Prince to form the gangsta rap group N.W.A. They released their seminal debut album Straight Outta Compton in 1988 and helped put the West Coast on the hip-hop map.

Financial issues led to the demise of N.W.A and caused Dre to form Death Row Records along with The D.O.C. and Suge Knight. Dre released his classic solo debut album The Chronic in 1992 and further helped the West Coast dominate the sound of hip-hop. Due to disagreements with Suge Knight, Dre left Death Row in 1996 and formed Aftermath Entertainment. He released his classic sophomore album 2001 in 1999 and later released multi-platinum albums from Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, and Kendrick Lamar. In 2002, Dre won a Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical.
