A full moon hangs in an empty sky
They're just two people in a car going by
They're young and restless, and they don't know
They'll take any road, they don't care where it goes

The scene is set, everything is right
He turns to her in the fading light
And he says I don't understand it
But there's no way to stop it

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We're talking wordlessly
When we make love

Time is on the wing, it just goes flying by
And it gets late and she starts to cry
And he says we gotta go but it won't always be this way
I feel it coming closer every day

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We'll go on endlessly
When we make love

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We'll go on endlessly
When we make love

Scratched-up lunchbox, pale blue shirts
Slide in the front seat, getting off from work
She folds the kids clothes, puts them away
And after all this time he can't wait to her
At the end of the day she smiles
She remembers what he used to say

A full moon hangs in an empty sky
Screen door slams, and a baby cries
It's the end of another long day
And I just thank God some things never change

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We'll go on endlessly
When we make love

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We'll go on endlessly
When we make love

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
We'll go on and on and on
When we make love

When we make love
And I feel the power you give me
