Can you tell me a story?
Can you tell me, oh please?
Can you tell me a story?
And then I will go off to sleep

Can you tell me a story
About that funny old doll
Who got lost in the forest
And wound up sleeping in a log

I love a good story
Before I go to bed
I picture the people and the places in my head

Can you tell me a story
About a castle and a knight
And how he saved the fair princess
And everything turned out alright

I love a good story
Before I go to bed
I picture the people and the places in my head

Can you tell me a story
About a castle and a knight
And how he saved the fair princess
And everything turned out alright
And now you can turn out the light
And now you can turn out the light
