[Verse 1]
Have you ever been dumb enough to do what you wanted to do
Without good reason coming over you?
Have you ever been young enough to feel what you wanted to feel?
Take back those years for something real

[Chorus]
I'm an iron rooster
Cold and still
Irregular sculpture
Held against my will

[Verse 2]
Have you ever been drunk enough to say what you wanted to say
Without no words getting in the way?
Have you ever been in love enough to be who you wanted to be?
I won't mind you if you won't mind me

[Chorus]
I'm an iron rooster
Cold and still
Irregular sculpture
Held against my will

[Guitar Solo]

[Bridge]
Can you believe we're older?
I won't believe it's over now
Do you remember being children?
Do you remember when? Now

[Guitar Solo]

[Outro]
I'm an iron rooster
Cold and still
Irregular sculpture
An iron rooster
Cold and still
Irregular sculpture
An iron rooster
An iron rooster
An iron rooster
Held against my will

Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed in 1995 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. Originally a solo project by him to overcome the grief of Kurt Cobain’s death, Grohl attracted label interest with his inaugural demo tape.

According to Dave Grohl, the band is named after the UFOs that were reported by Allied aircraft pilots in World War II.

I was reading a lot of books on UFOs. Not only is it a fascinating subject, but there’s a treasure trove of band names in those UFO books! So, since I had recorded the first record by myself, playing all the instruments, but I wanted people to think that it was a group, I figured that FOO FIGHTERS might lead people to believe that it was more than just one guy. Silly, huh?
