It was dark and cool
She said I didn't know all the rules
She made her mind up fast
She took a walk and she didn't come back
Girls can't wait...

Girls can't wait
Now I'm all alone
Four empty walls and a telephone
All I know right now is girls can't wait...

Everyone should know
Life ain't no picture show
You'll lose your place in line
You'll end up in the life's back row

Girls can't wait
Now I'm all alone
Four empty walls and a telephone
All I know right now is girls can't wait...

I'm just marking time
I hold court with some friends of mine
I think I love that girl
I'm thinking that I could change her mind
Girls can't wait...

Girls can't wait
Now I'm all alone
Four empty walls and a telephone
All I know right now is girls can't wait...

Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms is an American rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, “Hey Jealousy”. “Hey Jealousy” became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. The band’s follow-up album, Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996), went platinum and the single “As Long as It Matters” was nominated for a Grammy Award. Gin Blossoms broke up in 1997. Since reuniting in 2001, the band has released Major Lodge Victory in 2006, No Chocolate Cake in 2010, and Mixed Reality in 2018.
