[Verse 1: 2-D]
Magic for me
Magic makes no sound
It good for me
It good for me underground
Magic on me
Really got me down
Invade the city
It made my heart beat no sound

[Bridge: 2-D & Noodle]
Beat no sound
Beat no sound (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Beat no sound
Beat no sound
Beat no sound (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)

[Pre-Chorus: 2-D]
And let me tell myself
Tell on

[Chorus: 2-D & Noodle]
She turned my dad on
She turned my dad on, dad on, dad on

[Verse 2: 2-D]
Magic for me
Magic, get me through
With magic money
People seem to walk through you
Magic's funny
Magic, get me through
All good for me
When people seem to always walk through you

[Bridge: 2-D & Noodle]
Walk through you (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Walk through you
Walk through you
Walk through you
Walk through you (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh)
Walk through you
Walk through you
Walk through you
Walk through you
Walk through you

[Pre-Chorus: 2-D]
And let me tell myself
Tell on

[Chorus: 2-D & Noodle]
She turned my dad on
She turned my dad on, dad on, dad on

[Bridge: 2-D]
She made me kill myself
Come on
Come on

[Chorus: 2-D & Noodle]
She turned my dad on
Come on
She turned my dad on
Come on
She turned my dad on
She turned my dad on, dad on, dad on

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a virtual band created by Damon Albarn of Britpop band Blur and Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the comic book Tank Girl. The band is composed of four animated band Stuart “2D” Pot (vocals, keyboard), Murdoc Niccals (bass), Noodle (lead guitar and occasional vocals), and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). Murdoc was based on Keith Richards from a photo by David Bailey and 2D was based on a friend of Damon and Jamie’s.

The project began as an experiment and commentary on popular media. It was inspired by Hewlett and Albarn binge watching MTV when the two were housemates in London. Hewlett

If you watch MTV for too long, it’s a bit like hell – there’s nothing of substance there. So we got this idea for a cartoon band, something that would be a comment on that.
