[Chorus]
It's been a minute since I called you drunk
It’s  been a minute since we fucked things up
It's  been a minute since I called you mine (Called you mine)
It's been a hell of a time

[Verse 1]
Check it
They  say that distance is too long when you’re writing a song
And  every memory take me back to the places we've gone
The clock ticks life away, I link in the park
You  a star, why you always keep your place in the dark?
When I was far from home, a home far from alone
I'm so out of my zone, can't get off of my phone
We go outta control, I chief Patrick Mahomes
You  leave soon as I go, it's like I got a chaperone
Or another shadow, World War III when we go to battle
I never knew what I would do without you
But I think it's 'bout time that I figure out soon
Check my phone and it's half past noon

[Chorus]
It’s been a minute since I called you drunk
It’s been a minute since we fucked things up
It's been a minute since I called you mine (Called you mine)
It’s been a hell of a time
It's been a minute since I caused you stress
It's been a minute since we've been our best
It’s been a minute, but it don't feel fine (Don't feel fine)
It's been a hell of a time, a hell, hell of a time

[Post-Chorus]
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-whoa
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh

[Verse 2]
Yeah, that love was punch drunk
Adam Sandler, fucked up
27 months of only getting me roughed up
Oh, I feel like love sucks, since the world introduced us
Turned my heart to stone just like Medusa
You said you used to being used up
I think we got a problem, but we far from Houston
I'm so NASA, and she so passive-aggressive
I ask her a question, get asked like 20 questions
Got no chance outta friendship, no way I could mend this heart
I might as well just head for the exit, ooh
I feel like I just tripled my investment
But what am I left with?

[Chorus]
It's been a minute since I called you drunk
It's been a minute since we fucked things up
It's been a minute since I called you mine (Called you mine)
It's been a hell of a time
It's been a minute since I caused you stress
It's been a minute since we've been our best
It's been a minute, but it don't feel fine (Don't feel fine)
It's been a hell of a time, a hell, hell of a time

[Post-Chorus]
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh (Whoa)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-whoa (A hell of a time)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
(It's been a hell of a time, a hell, hell of a time)
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh-oh
