[Verse 1: Janet Jackson]
Sittin' here with my tears
All alone with my fears
I'm wonderin' if I have to do
Without ya
But thеre's no reason why
I feel asleep late last night
Cryin' likе a newborn child
Holdin' myself close
Pretendin' my arms are yours
I want no one but you

[Chorus: Janet Jackson & Chauncey "Black" Hannibal]
I get so lonely
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
Want no one but you
I get so lonely (Lonely, baby, ah yeah)
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
(Listen to me, baby)
Want no one but you

[Verse 2: Chauncey "Black" Hannibal]
I still remember to the day
In fact it was a third Monday
You came along to be the one for me
And now I'm so all alone
I'm sittin' here by the phone (The phone)
Call and say that you're okay
So that I'll have the chance
To beg you to stay
I want no one but you

[Chorus: Janet Jackson & Chauncey "Black" Hannibal, Chauncey]
I get so lonely (Get so lonely, oh yeah)
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
I Want no one but you
I get so lonely (I get)
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
And I want no one but you
I get so lonely
(Every time I see your face)
(Every time I see your)
(Every time I hear your name)
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
(I can't believe that you and me are no longer)
Want no one but you
I get so lonely
(Every time I see your face)
(Every time I see your)
(Every time I hear your name)
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
(You are the love that lives in me, baby)
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
Want no one but you
(Break it down, break it down)

[Bridge: Janet Jackson & Chauncey "Black" Hannibal, Chauncey]
Gonna break it down, break it down, break it down
Gonna break it down, break it down, break it down
Whoa-oh
You know (I know)
That I know (Oh)
That I get so lonely thinking of you
Ooh-hoo
No-oh-oh-no, no-oh-oh

[Chorus: Janet Jackson & Chauncey "Hannibal" Black]
I get so lonely (Get lonely when I hear your name)
Can't let just anybody hold me
(I get lonely when I see your face)
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
(My, my, my, my, my, my, my)
Want no one but you
I get so lonely (Get lonely when I hear your name)
(Hear your name)
Can't let just anybody hold me
(I get lonely when I see your face)
You are the one that lives in me, my dear

Janet Jackson

Janet Damita Jo Jackson is an iconic R&B/pop artist who has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has amassed a number of awards in her illustrious music career.

Born in Gary, Indiana on May 16, 1966, Janet is the youngest of the Jackson family, who rose to prominence a few years after her birth when they signed with Motown Records. Janet joined the family business when she appeared on The Jacksons variety show in 1976, leading to her role as Penny Gordon in Season 5 of the CBS sitcom Good Times. She released two overlooked albums in the early 1980s—Janet Jackson (1982) and Dream Street (1984)—and continued to act during this time, appearing in Diff'rent Strokes and Fame.

The legend of Janet was created after she connected with the legendary Minneapolis production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis to work on her seminal third album, Control. Control and her following album, 1989’s Rhythm Nation 1814, featured several #1 pop hits and made her a worldwide superstar. The trio would go on work on Janet’s subsequent hit albums, including janet., The Velvet Rope, as well as her 2015 comeback album, Unbreakable.
