[Intro: Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot]
Eh bien, écoutez l'histoire de Bonnie and Clyde

[Chorus: Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot & Both]
Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie and Clyde

[Verse 1: Jay Electronica]
I'm swimming in light like Mahoney in Cocoon
The truth like bones of man under the moon
We reign all year round from June to June
While niggas bite immediately if not soon
Peace to GZA, no beef with RZA
Please Flex, drop an atom bomb on the wizard
Hurricane Katrina winds, blow me a blizzard
FEMA is an acronym, show me who is it
New Orleans on the map again, the flow is exquisite (Écoutez l'histoire..)
Soul-controller, Third Ward soldier (Écoutez l'histoire..)
Jay Elec scratch and sniff, smell of magnolias
I fell back from rap and held back with Hova
Just like I told you on Extra Extra
You fucking with a young black Professor Tesla
A two-faced handshake rejects the gesture
Turn the other cheek and caress the scepter

[Chorus: Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot & Both]
Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie and Clyde

[Verse 2: Jay Electronica]
It takes a nation of millions to advertise ya
But only one Benedict to sabotage ya
Ever heard of Malcolm Little? Ask Elijah
You'll never reach heaven 'til you pass the fire
The internet labeled me a cult-like savior
Class A grader, Complex, Fader
Hit a nigga with a lightning bolt like Vader
The Earth spins every time the sun strike the equator
Mind's the magnet, body is the cabinet (Écoutez l'histoire..)
Lace up my Ballys and wallow in the magic (Écoutez l'histoire..)
I can't help it, Mont-Blanc felt tip
Y'all move lowkey but we stay stealth-ish
Hail Roc Nation
New World Order Ministry of Information, bitch nigga stop hating
Y'all pop shit, we ready, y'all waiting
Y'all not ready for the colonization
Quit faking

[Chorus: Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot & Both]
Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie and Clyde

[Bridge: Serge Gainsbourg]
Écoutez l'histoire
Écoutez l'histoire
Écoutez l'histoire
Écoutez l'histoire

[Chorus: Serge Gainsbourg, Brigitte Bardot & Both]
Bonnie and Clyde
Bonnie and Clyde

Jay Electronica

Timothy Elpadaro Thedford (born September 19, 1976), better known by his stage name Jay Electronica, is an American rapper and record producer. He is from New Orleans, Louisiana and currently based in London, United Kingdom.

Electronica first gained significant attention after the release of the musical composition Act Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge), which was made available on a MySpace page in 2007 and has been called a “timeless classic” by Vice Magazine. It is fifteen continuous minutes of music, without drums, built from Jon Brion’s soundtrack to the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. In late 2009 he released two singles, both produced by Just Blaze, “Exhibit A” and “Exhibit C”, the latter of which won a Sucker Free Summit Award for Instant Classic. In November 2010, it was announced Jay Electronica had signed to hip hop mogul Jay Z’s Roc Nation record label.

More than a decade after his last project, What the Fuck is a Jay Electronica, and almost exactly eight years to the DAY after he reportedly finished and turned in his album, Jay Electronica finally released his debut studio album A Written Testimony on March 13, 2020. The album features Jay-Z on eight of its ten tracks, leading some to label it a collab album between the two Jays. The-Dream also makes three appearances, and even Travis Scott makes a surprising appearance on “The Blinding.”
