[Intro]
Yeah
Uh

[Verse 1: JID]
Look, yeah
Time is of the essence, I'm progressively improvin'
Progress and I'm chillin', you second guess my movements
First to the bullshit
Who tryna hang with me, I brought the nooses
I draw the stainless like you draw conclusions
It's a ball of confusion
The writings on the wall was all illusion
I got the drip, but your shit all pollution
You brought the- and had another for the audible
All the bullshit aside, boy I got plenty time
I've been ready for whatever anytime
From a city where niggas don't kill in time
In your pockets for nickels, pеnny, dimes
Save your shot, but shit it got minimize
Wе was livin' by, ma would go inside behind the window, hide
Fee-fi-fo, niggas slide, tryna dodge bullets from a Dodge
God left when the winter came then the summer died
Rain, rain, come another time
I be rappin' til' I'm mummified
Tell your favorite rapper it's pajama time
He a ugly- but a son of mine
It's over for you but it's underlined
I go before you with a humble mind
And a stomach round, plus I smell foul
Takin' big shits from the humble pies

[Chorus: Kenny Mason]
Woke up at six
Pray to a nine, twelve
Was already runnin' from twelve
A nigga was flyin'
Ayy, I got the time today bitch, I got the time
Ayy, I got the time today bitch, I got the time
Aim at the moon, shoot up the sky
2:45, bought two- new .45's
Ayy, I got the time today bitch, I got the time
Ayy, I got the time today bitch, I got the time

[Verse 2]
What a time to be alive
Niggas be alive, niggas on another time
I ain't gotta lie
Summarize on color time
A lotta color people die
Motherfucker I ain't sayin' it did the color lines
And my cousin a killer, kamikaze cool nigga and he...

J.I.D

Destin Choice Route (b. October 31, 1990), better known by the stage name J.I.D, is an American rapper from Zone 6, Atlanta, Georgia. He describes himself as “a soft-spoken but intricate lyricist with a cocky side.” His stage name originates from “jittery,” his grandmother’s nickname for him due to his sporadic behavior as a child.

J.I.D began attending Hampton University on a football scholarship in the fall of 2008. At that time, he was nicknamed ‘Jidd’ and released music under multiple variations of that name. His first mixtape, CakeWalk, was released in May 2010 and featured a number of friends from Hampton. The tape also marked two of his earliest collaborations with EARTHGANG. He released his second mixtape, CakeWalk 2, in June 2011. J.I.D was expelled from Hampton at some point during his senior year. Route of Evil was released in June 2012 as J.I.D’s third mixtape. DJ Tay James, Justin Bieber’s official DJ, hosted each of these three mixtapes. J.I.D does not publicly acknowledge any of these tapes, and they are not easily discoverable on the internet.

In October 2013, J.I.D released Para Tu, his fourth mixtape. Around this time, he also officially created the Spillage Village collective with EARTHGANG, Hollywood JB, and JordxnBryant. J.I.D re-released Para Tu on SoundCloud in December 2017 after fans had discovered it and were posting it online.
