[Intro: K-Ci]
You know we gonna flip it up just a little bit for y'all, so you all know
Somethin' mighty different
You know, you know, know, know, know yeah
You know, you know, you, you, you know, yeah

[Verse 1: K-Ci, Jodeci]
In the morning when I open up my eyes
I still be feelin' high from the love you gave last night, girl
But I still try to get it up with my friends
But they just think I'm crazy, oh
No more do I fit in, girl
They all be standing 'round smokin' all day
But I just get a hit or two
But it just don't feel the same, girl (No, no)
I know that I'd be meeting you any day
There's only one thing I have to say

[Chorus: Jodeci, K-Ci]
You give good love in the morning or late at night
(Late at night)
Every second to minute it gets me high (Oh, oh)
Good love in the morning or late at night
It's amazing how our love could feel so right

[Verse 2: JoJo, Jodeci]
Ah, yes, it's just a habit, I feel I have to have it
Every time I see you, girl, you know I wanna grab it
And yes I do admit it nothing can get with it
(Nothing can get with it)
When it comes to feelin' good, your love is so addictive
Yes, I do get my drink on, and I do have my fun
When it comes to love
I gotta get some of your good love
So I turn to you, 'cause no one else can do what you do
Girl, you're so good, oh yeah

[Chorus: Jodeci & JoJo]
You give good love in the morning or late at night
(Morning)
Every second to minute it gets me high
(Every little second, every little second of the day, baby, yeah)
Good love in the morning or late at night
It's amazing how our love could feel so right
(Amazing, I need your love)

[Bridge: Jodeci, K-Ci]
I need your love, girl
(I need your love)
'Cause when I'm not with you
I just feen' for the things you do
(I'm feenin', I'm feenin', baby)
I'm in my own world
'Cause girl, I'm crazy for you
'Cause your love is always true
You give good love
(You give good love)
You give good love
(In the morning, in the morning)
You give good love
And that's all I do
'Cause I'm strung out on you
(I'm strung out on you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, yeah)

[Chorus: Jodeci, K-Ci]
You give good love (Yes, you do, baby) in the morning (In the morning) or late at night
(Late at night)
Every second to minute it gets me high
Good love in the morning or late at night
It's amazing how our love could feel so right
(I just want the morning for you, baby, baby)
Good love in the morning (Baby, baby) or late at night (Baby, baby)
Every second to minute it gets me high
(Do you hear what I'm singing about? Yeah)
Good love in the morning or late at night
(Feels so good, makes me feel so good)
It's amazing how our love could feel so right
(I just want the morning for you)

Jodeci

Started in 1983, Jodeci is comprised of two sets of brothers—Cedric and Joel Hailey (also known as K-Ci and JoJo) and Donald and Dalvin Degrate (also known as DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin). Jodeci were once known as the “bad boys of R&B,” notable particularly because they were actually boys at the time, breaking out as teenagers in 1991 with their debut album and its title ballad, “Forever My Lady.” Natives of North Carolina, they were discovered by Heavy D, who overheard their demo when an A&R at Uptown was in the process of passing on them. Heavy D introduced Jodeci to Uptown founder Andre Harrell, who signed them after they sang in his office, and handed them off to his then-protégé Puff Daddy, who outfitted the group in dark shades and coordinating leather ensembles. The look, along with the streetwise soul found in songs like “Cry 4 U” and “Feenin” (as well as a few run-ins with the law) made them the antithesis to good-guy personas of then-peaking R&B superstars Boyz II Men. Devante, who along with Mr. Dalvin held down production duties for the group, founded the Swing Mob, a collective responsible for the discovery of musical geniuses like Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Static Major. As a group, Jodeci would go on to release three critically-acclaimed album in the ‘90s, before disappearing from the limelight. K-Ci and JoJo splintered off as a duo in 1997, producing hit single “All My Life” and, eventually, five albums, but adoring fans never let go of their Jodeci obsession. In March, the group released The Past, The Present, The Future, the first Jodeci album in two decades. Jodeci, if y'all reading this, where’d you go?
