[Verse 1: K-Ci]
Mhm...JoJo, you're my brother
Can I talk to my brother for a minute yall?
Now JoJo, we done see it all, did it all, done it all, yes we have
Back against the wall
Standing in the middle at the crossroad
In and out of trouble, how we're still here, only Lord knows

[Pre-Chorus: K-Ci]
When I walke through the fire, at my lowest moment
When the party's over, you was there for me
When nothing wasn't working, my soul started hurting
They thought we were over, you was there for me

[Chorus: K-Ci & JoJo]
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Somebody tell me
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
I'm my brother's keeper, yeah

[Verse 2: JoJo & (K-Ci)]
Now can I talk to my brother for a minute, y'all? That's right
Now K-Ci, we done see it, we done did it, we done done it all
(And you know)
Baby mama drama, rehab life on a reality show
Between money and the fame, women in the game
How we're still here, only God knows

[Pre-Chorus: K-Ci]
When I walk through the fire, at my lowest moment
When the party's over, you was there for me
When nothing wasn't working, my soul started hurting
They thought we were over, you was there for me

[Chorus: K-Ci & JoJo]
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Somebody let me know
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Anybody, let me know
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
I'm my brother's keeper

[Bridge: K-Ci & JoJo]
You know...
You're my brother
Nothing like having a brother
You're my brother, and I love ya
You're my brother, and I love ya
I love my brother so dearly
And like I said, mommy and daddy, thank you
Somebody gotta tell me
I love you, I love you
'Cause I know you love me
I love you
I know you love me

[Chorus: K-Ci & JoJo]
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Momma and daddy, thank you
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
I'm my brother's keeper, yeah

[Bridge: K-Ci]
Came a long way, got a long way to go, yes we do
In and out of trouble, in and out of trouble
Mom and daddy, we're sorry
Thank you for the whippings, hahaha
Thank you for the schooling
Look where it got us to, yeah
Now tell me y'all

[Chorus: K-Ci & JoJo]
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am
I'm my brother's keeper
Am I my brother's keeper? Yes, I am

K-Ci & JoJo

Brothers Cedric Hailey and Joel Hailey from Monroe, North Carolina make up the duo K-Ci & JoJo, the lead singers and half of the multi-platinum R&B group Jodeci along with brothers Mr. Dalvin and DeVante Swing. After three platinum albums with Jodeci, K-Ci & JoJo branched off and sang hooks for 2Pac on his singles “How Do U Want It” and “Toss It Up” in 1996 before releasing their first album Love Always in 1997. The album featured the #1 hit “All My Life,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks and was nominated for two Grammys. Their second album, It’s Real, was released in 1999 and hit platinum status in part due to the success of the single “Tell Me It’s Real,” which peaked at #2 on the Billboard chart. Their third album, X, was released in 2000 and featured the hit “Crazy,” which peaked at #3 on the Hot 100.

The duo released two more albums—2002’s Emotional and 2013’s My Brother’s Keeper—but they didn’t contain any top hits. In 2010, they starred in their own reality show on TVOne titled K-Ci & JoJo…Come Clean which dealt with their alcohol and relationship issues as they attempted a comeback. They reunited with Jodeci to release the album The Past, The Present, The Future in 2015.
