[Intro - Lainie Kazan and Katy Perry]
Look at those beautiful eyes
She reminds me so much of me
Starting out in a brand new world
Who she gonna be?
Will she follow everything that's been said?
Maybe listen to her heart instead
Maybe she needs to be free
She got that from me

[Verse 1]
What you get is what you see
It's a fantasy life, but it's real to me
And I'll do what I want when I want to do it
I didn't want to live in a box or mansion fault with doors and locks so I never let anyone put me through it

[Chorus]
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Give it up to you
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Do it all for you

[Verse Two]
They all talk, talk, talking at me
Telling me who I am, what to do with my body
And I'll do what I want when I want to do it
Grandma, soon I'll see you too when I overdose, tripping on my shoes
Be the next Queen of Pop

[Chorus]
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Give it up to you
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Do it all for you

[Bridge]
(Instrumental chimes and hymns)
Give it up to you
Do it all for you

[Chorus]
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Give it up to you
Freedom, skin it
Freedom, bop it
Freedom, sell it (Spirit)
Do it all for you

[Outro]
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
Can't you see?
Freedom, Freedom, Freedom
That's all I want from me

Katy Perry

Katheryn Elizabeth “Katy” Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, businesswoman, philanthropist, and actress. She was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Having had very little exposure to mainstream pop music in her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teen and released her debut self-titled studio album in 2001. She also recorded a second solo album in 2005, (A) Katy Perry, which was scrapped.

Afterwards, Perry (her mother’s maiden name, taken to avert confusion with Kate Hudson) reinvented herself as a party girl pop star, breaking out with 2008’s One of the Boys and the #1 hits “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold”.

Follow-up Teenage Dream (2010) equalled Michael Jackson’s record of five chart-toppers on the same album, and made Perry even more ubiquotous in the pop landscape. Following her marriage and eventual divorce from British comedian Russell Brand, she released an updated version, Teenage The Complete Confection and concert film Katy Part of Me in 2012. She released her fourth album, Prism, in 2013, along with some standalone singles, such as “Rise”.
