Kenji Wu is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, actor and director born on October 18, 1979 in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Although born in Taiwan, his family moved to Argentina, but he later moved back to Taiwan to compete in MTV Taiwan’s “New Artist Fight Game” in 2000. After the show, he debuted as a soloist signed to Virgin Music. The album was met with a lukewarm reception and low sales despite it being produced by top record producers. Kenji quickly went into acting as a result but still managed to write and compose music.
