[Verse 1]
I was lookin' lost, it was cold outside
The whiskey rock's how you caught my eye
My red lips painted, dressed up in black
I needed something to bring me back
You knew the play and we danced all night
But something wasn't right

[Chorus]
So I'll see you next Tuesday
If I ever get desperate or I'm so beyond faded
Just a "See you next Tuesday"
Kinda nice out this morning, I won't sit around waiting
And I'm not just being cold
I'm just watchin' you pretend
Like your heart is on your sleeve
When I know you have a girlfriend
Oh, I'll see you next Tuesday, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh

[Interlude]
Oh-oh
Oh-oh

[Verse 2]
You don't call, and you won't admit (Won't admit)
The lies you spin for your power trip
And I just can't take you seriously
When all you send is a text to me
So I'll be gone when the morning comes
Let's not pretend it's love

[Chorus]
So I'll see you next Tuesday
If I ever get desperate or I'm so beyond faded
Just a "See you next Tuesday"
Kinda nice out this morning, I won't sit around waiting
And I'm not just being cold (No)
I'm just watchin' you pretend (Watchin' you pretend)
Like your heart is on your sleeve
When I know you have a girlfriend (I know you have a girlfriend)
I'll see you next Tuesday, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh

[Bridge]
I don't want anything from this, I got your number
Don't call me, I'll call you if I need a hit (Oh)
I don't need no drama from this, I know you got your girl
And I don't need a dude on my shit, no
So I'll see you next Tuesday (See you next Tuesday)
I'll see you next Tuesday (Oh)

[Chorus]
So I'll see you next Tuesday
If I ever get desperate or I'm so beyond faded
Just a "See you next Tuesday"
Kinda nice out this morning, I won't sit around waiting
And I'm not just being cold (Not just being cold)
I'm just watchin' you pretend (Watchin' you pretend)
Like your heart is on your sleeve
When I know you have a girlfriend (I know you have a girlfriend)
I'll see you next Tuesday
So I'll see you next Tuesday, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh

[Outro]
Oh-oh, oh-oh (Tuesday)
Oh-oh (Oh-oh), oh-oh (Oh-oh)
(So I'll see you next Tuesday) I'll see you next Tuesday
So I'll see you next Tuesday (Tuesday)
I'll see you next Tuesday
Oh-oh, oh-oh (Tuesday)
So I'll see you next Tuesday (I'll see you next Tuesday)

Kesha

Kesha Rose Sebert, whose mononymous stage name was previously spelled Ke$ha, is an American singer-songwriter best known for hits like “Tik Tok” and “Praying.” Her mother, Pebe Sebert is also a songwriter, and the two have worked together on songs like “Learn to Let Go.”

In 2005, at age eighteen, Kesha signed a record deal with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Her first major recording was an uncredited feature on Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right ‘Round,” which she recorded after walking into a session between Flo and Dr. Luke. She released her debut album, Animal, the next year, after choosing from hundreds of songs, and the record debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Lead single “Tik Tok” broke the record for the longest time for a female artist’s debut single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Nine months after Animal dropped, Kesha rereleased it alongside Cannibal, an extended play featuring hits like “We R Who We R,” which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Blow.” In February 2011, Kesha kicked off her Get Sleazy Tour, which travelled through the Americas, Europe, and Australia. During the tour, she began writing for her sophomore album, Warrior, which was released in November 2012. She then embarked on a world tour, and was joined by future “Timber” collaborator Pitbull on the North American leg.
