[Intro]
Sexy!
Well, it started off when I was a little girl
And everybody said, "when you grow up, you're gonna be so cute"
I knew that!
But, but I didn't blossom until I got to high school
And now I'm a full grown woman, honey
And I'm ferocious, okay?

[Verse 1]
My friends keep telling me that I'm the one
I'm just so full of fun
The magic in my walk just turns them on
I don't know the reason why they love me, I'm so sexy
And when I do my hair, I make it good to the comb
I guess I'm just too sexy for them

[Chorus]
"Sexy," that's what they call me
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa whoa
"Sexy," that what they call me?
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa

[Verse 2]
When I pose in the clothes that I wear
You know they lose control 'cause, honey, I'm bold
Half-suppressed smiles from the guys
As they sneak a peek across the room
I don't know the reason why you love me, I'm so sleazy
So what's a girl to do when the public says it's all about me?
I guess I'm just too sexy baby

[Chorus]
"Sexy," that's what they call me
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa whoa
"Sexy," that what they call me?
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa
"Sexy," that's what they call me
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa whoa
"Sexy," that what they call me?
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa

[Bridge]
Sexy, baby, sexy
You know I just got to be sexy
'Cause all over the world that we live
Everybody wants a little sexy thing
I like a thing, you like a thing
But everybody likes a little sexy thing
I just want to be what you want me to be

[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, yes I can take a little pain
I'm not your typical American girl
(I'm not your typical girl)
I'm gonna take this sex appeal
And reveal it to the sex-starved world
I know they all just hungry for me

[Verse 4: Bernadette Cooper]
Girls tell me what it's all about
Is it the way I walk? (Yeah!)
Is it the way I talk? (Yeah!)
Is it the way I lean in my Cooper's limousine?
Do I have a basic attitude? (No)
Is it the way I move? (Yeah!)
Well come on with me, girls, we're gonna take this
Groove around the world baby

[Verse 5]
Sexy, baby, that's what they call me, daddy
'Cause I'm so sexy, honey
It's all about me, can you see?
I'm just too sexy baby
It's all about me, lover
And I want you to see
That's it's all about me, baby
Can't you see, daddy?

[Verse 6: Bernadette Cooper]
Okay, is it the way I walk? (Yeah!)
Is it the way I talk? (Yeah!)
Do I have a basic attitude? (No!)
Well is it the way I move? (Yeah!)
Do we have a meeting in the ladies' room? (No!)
All you sexy people out there
You know you need to be slapped
Go on and sing, Lungs

[Pre-Chorus]
I'm not your typical American girl
Ah, baby, ah, baby, ooh
Gonna take this sex appeal
And reveal it to the sex-starved world
I know they all just hungry for me

[Chorus]
"Sexy," that's what they call me
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa whoa
"Sexy," that what they call me?
'Cause I'm too sexy
Yea, uh, whoa, whoa

Klymaxx

Klymaxx is one of the first and most-prominent all-girl funk bands. Getting started in the early 1980’s, the band hit their stride in the middle of the decade with hits like “The Men All Pause,” “Meeting In The Ladies Room,” “I Miss You,” and “I’d Still Say Yes.”

With multiple band members all playing their instruments live, the frontmost members were lead singers Lorena “Lungs” Porter, the feather-voiced Joyce “Fenderella” Irby, and attitudinal rapstress and group founder Bernadette Cooper.

Regarding the creation of the group’s name, Klymaxx, Cheryl Cooley said:
