Wind in your hair, smile on your face
Hello, hello
A taste of heaven right here on earth, I know
You by my side makes me all warm
You're the kind of person I could learn a lot from
There's no better way than living like this
I want to love you with no one else

How can I get close to you
(Closer)
That's all I want to do
How can I get close to you, baby
(Closer)
That's all I want to do, yeah

I'd like to get to know you
I'd like to get to hold you for life, oh, girl
I'm ready when your love comes down
I'm willing and able to hold my ground
So let me fill your every need
And let you know just what you mean to me
And I'll be yours for always
Nothing too good for you, babe, no

And how can I get close to you
(Closer)
That's what I want to do, oh, girl
How can I get close to you
(Closer)
That's all I want to do

I fell in love the first time
I saw your face
You touch my heart and my mind
You filled that empty space
Now I can't let you go
Don't ever go away

So how can I get close to you
That's all I want to do
How can I get close to you
That's all I want to do, baby

How can I get close to you
That's all I want to do, oh-oh...
How can I get close to you
That's all, that's all
That I want to do, baby...

Kool & the Gang

Kool & the Gang is an American jazz, R&B, soul, funk, and disco group from Jersey City. They were originally named the Jazziacs when they formed the group in 1964.

They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

The group was becoming prominent in the music industry in the 1970s with hits such as “Holly Wood Swinging”, “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness”. However they cemented their legendary status after the addition of lead vocalist James “J.T.” Taylor. With his help they went on to create classic hits such as “Ladies Night”, “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Cherish” and countless others.
