Be true
Just be true
You, be true
Must be true
Be true

Just be true, whatever you do, well, yeah
Somebody's watchin', watching you
Somebody's watchin'
Just be true, me and you, well
Somebody's watchin' what you do
What you do, what you do

Don't think you'll get away
With all that jivin', jivin'
Follow your heart today
And keep on standin' stronger

You be you, I'll be me
Maybe someday we will see
You and me we'll see
Just be true, me and you, well
I know together we can do
Anything, yes we can

You should never hide
What you feel, what you feel inside
Keep your sense of pride
And hold your head up high

Be true
Just be true
You, be true
Must be true
Be true

Just be true, just be true, just be you

You should never hide
What you feel inside
Keep your sense of pride
Hold your head up high
Just be true

You should never hide
What you feel inside
Keep your sense of pride
Hold your head up high
Just be true

You should never hide
What you feel inside
Keep your sense of pride
Just be true

Just be true

Kool & the Gang

Kool & the Gang is an American jazz, R&B, soul, funk, and disco group from Jersey City. They were originally named the Jazziacs when they formed the group in 1964.

They went through several musical phases during their recording career, starting out with a purist jazz sound, then funk and R&B, progressing to a smooth pop-funk ensemble, and in the post-millennium creating music with a modern, electro-pop sound.

The group was becoming prominent in the music industry in the 1970s with hits such as “Holly Wood Swinging”, “Jungle Boogie” and “Summer Madness”. However they cemented their legendary status after the addition of lead vocalist James “J.T.” Taylor. With his help they went on to create classic hits such as “Ladies Night”, “Celebration”, “Get Down On It”, “Cherish” and countless others.
