[Verse 1]
Everyone's corrupt
You should just shut up
Lay down, back off
The demon you've disrupted

[Pre-Chorus]
Don't wanna talk about politics!
Don't preach or talk about politics!
Don't let me talk about politics!
Don't give a shit about politics!

[Chorus]
You want to sleep with him
To get to who you need to know
Think that's the way to go, don't you? (Don't you)
It's in religion, sex, and everything we do and say
I look the other way, won't you? (Won't you?)

[Verse 2]
Everybody's raped
Lying to your face
Kiss 'em and got to go, slit you
Here all messed up

[Pre-Chorus]
Don't wanna talk about politics!
Don't preach or talk about politics!
Don't let me talk about politics!
Don't give a shit about politics!

[Chorus]
You want to sleep with him
To get to who you need to know
Think that's the way to go, don't you? (Don't you)
It's in religion, sex, and everything we do and say
I look the other way, won't you? (Won't you?)

[Bridge]
Tiny spirits are in your soul
And they remain there
Time is like in the deepest hole
You sit and pray there
All the guilt from the things you've done
You wonder what for
What you thought was so much fun
You have to pay for

[Pre-Chorus]
Don't wanna talk about politics!
Don't preach or talk about politics!
Don't let me talk about politics!
Don't give a shit about politics!

[Chorus]
You want to sleep with him
To get to who you need to know
Think that's the way to go, don't you? (Don't you)
It's in religion, sex, and everything we do and say
I look the other way, won't you? (Won't you?)

[Outro]
Don't wanna talk about politics!
Don't preach or talk about politics!
Don't let me talk about politics!
Don't give a shit about politics!
Don't wanna talk about politics!
Don't preach or talk about politics!
Don't let me talk about politics!
Don't give a shit about politics!

Bakersfield friends James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu and David Silveria formed the funk-rock band LAPD in 1989 and moved to Los Angeles with another friend Brian “Head” Welch as their roadie. Later, with Welch as second guitarist, the band named themselves Creep and recorded a demo with pal Ross Robinson.

However, when Shaffer and Welch visited family in Bakersfield, they met Jonathan Davis who added a darker, goth-tinged edge to the band’s heavy groove. Robinson

The band wasn’t dark yet; it had, like, killer grooves and good riffs, but there was some happy edge to it. And when (Davis) walked into the room, it went dark and goth. Basically, during the first song, to audition in the rehearsal room, he started freaking the hell out [laughs]. You couldn’t hear his voice, but you felt chills all over your body, and it was instantly like, “Oh my God, yeah – he’s the one.”
