[Intro]
Don't go and break my heart
You got the best of me
Don't go and break my heart, oh
I need your love, baby
Think of the times
Moments we shared (Shared)
Heartbreaker you got the best of me
Think of the times
Moments we shared (Shared)
Heartbreaker, you got the best of me

[Verse 1]
I've been thinking 'bout the way you haven't treated me right
Me right
I've been dreaming 'bout you, baby, I can't sleep at night
At night
'Cause you know how wе make each other feel
Wе shouldn't be apart (We shouldn't be apart)
So why don't you come on, baby?
Don't go and break my heart

[Bridge]
If you should ever be lonely, think of the times
Think of the moments we shared
If you should ever be lonely, think of the times
Think of the moments we shared

[Verse 2]
You can't lie to me, baby, 'cause you're not good at lies
At lies
I can see through you, baby, right through your eyes
Your eyes
'Cause you know how we make each feel
We shouldn't be apart (We shouldn't be apart)
So why don't you come on, baby?
Don't go and break my heart

[Bridge]
If you should ever be lonely, think of the times
Think of the moments we shared
If you should ever be lonely, think of the times
Think of the moments we shared

[Pre-Chorus]
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love

[Chorus]
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart

[Post-Chorus]
I keep on coming
Why? Why?
Right from the start you'd go and break my heart
Break my
Br-br-br-break me
Br-br-br-break me

[Verse 3]
Oh, you love so good
I don't wanna let go
And although I should
I can't leave you alone
'Cause you're so disarming
I'm caught up in the mist of you
And I cannot resist at all

[Pre-Chorus]
Boy, if I do the things you want me to
The way I used to do
Would you love me, baby?
Or leave me feeling used?
Would you go and break my heart?

[Chorus]
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart

[Post-Chorus]
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Gimme your love, gimme your love, gimme your love
Think of the times
Moments we shared (shared)
Heartbreaker you got the best of me

[Verse 4]
It's a shame to be so euphoric and weak
When you smile at me and you tell me the things
That you know persuades me to relinquish my love to you
But I cannot resist at all

[Chorus]
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart

[Break]
I keep
I keep coming back, babe
I keep coming back, babe
I keep coming back, babe
I keep coming back, babe
I keep on
I keep on
I keep coming back to you
Yeah! I keep coming back to you
Yeah!
I keep on coming
Why? Why?
Right from the start you'd go and break my heart

[Chorus 2]
Did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart

[Post-Chorus]
Don't go and break my heart
Don't go and break my heart
Don't go and break my heart
You've got the best of me
Don't go and break my heart
Don't go and break my heart
Don't go and break my heart
You've got the best of me

[Bridge 2]
Why baby?
You got the best of me
Why? Why?
Think of the times
Moments we shared (Shared)
Heartbreaker you got the best of me

[Chorus]
Why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me?
I should have known right from the start (Right from the start)
You'd go and break my heart
Heartbreaker, you've got the best of me
But I just keep on coming back incessantly
Oh, why did you have to run your game on me? (Game on me)
I should have known right from the start
You'd go and break my heart
You got the best of me

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist.

Under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, Carey released her self-titled debut studio album Mariah Carey in 1990; it went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993 and success with hit records “Emotions” (1991), “Music Box” (1993), and “Merry Christmas” (1994), Carey was established as Columbia’s highest-selling act. Daydream (1995) made music history when its second single “One Sweet Day”, a duet with Boyz II Men, spent a record sixteen weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, and remains the longest-running number-one song in U.S. chart history, along with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito.” During the recording of the album, Carey began to deviate from her R&B and pop beginnings and slowly traversed into hip hop. This musical change became evident with the release of Butterfly (1997), at which time Carey had separated from Mottola.
