Woo! Anybody get up if you feel the need. I know you're all music industry people, but you can get up

[Verse 1]
Not more than three short years ago
(I was abandoned and alone)
Without a penny to my name
(So very young and so afraid)
No proper shoes upon my feet
(Sometimes I couldn't even eat)
I often cried myself to sleep

[Pre-Chorus]
But still I had to keep on going
Never knowing if I could take it
If I would make it through the night
I held on to my faith, I struggled and I prayed
And now I've found my way

[Chorus]
If you believe in yourself enough
And know what you want
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen

[Verse 2]
I know life can be so tough
And you feel like giving up
But you must be strong, baby, just hold on
You'll never find the answers
If you throw your life away
I used to feel the way you do

[Pre-Chorus]
Still I had to keep on going
Never knowing if I could take it
If I would make it through the night
I held on to my faith
I struggled and I prayed
And now I've finally found my way

[Chorus]
If you believe in yourself enough
And know what you want
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen
(You're gonna make it happen)
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen
If you believe
You're gonna make it happen
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen, oh-oh

[Interlude]
Oh, make it through the night
I held on to my faith, I survived and I prayed
And now I've found my way

[Chorus]
If you believe in yourself enough
And know what you want
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen (Make it happen)
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen (I know he is)
(He's gonna make it happen)
If you believe in yourself enough (If you believe)
And know what you want (Yes you are)
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen (He's gonna make it happen)
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen (Oh, oh)

[Bridge]
I once was lost, but now I'm found
I got my feet on solid ground
I thank you, Lord (Thank you lord, oh yeah)
If you believe within your soul
Just hold on tight and don't let go
You can make it, make it happen

[Break]
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go
(Never never let go)
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go (Don't ever let go)
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go (Don't ever, ever let go)
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go (Don't ever, ever let go)
Don't let go
Don't ever, ever let go (Ever, ever let go, oh-oh)
Don't let go

[Chorus]
If you believe in yourself enough (If you believe in it)
And know what you want
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen
(You're gonna make it, your gonna make it)
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen (He's gonna make it happen yeah)
(Yeah) If you believe in yourself enough
And know what you want
You're gonna make it happen, make it happen
And if you get down on your knees at night
And pray to the Lord
He's gonna make it happen, make it happen

[Outro]
Thank you

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist.

Under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, Carey released her self-titled debut studio album Mariah Carey in 1990; it went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993 and success with hit records “Emotions” (1991), “Music Box” (1993), and “Merry Christmas” (1994), Carey was established as Columbia’s highest-selling act. Daydream (1995) made music history when its second single “One Sweet Day”, a duet with Boyz II Men, spent a record sixteen weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, and remains the longest-running number-one song in U.S. chart history, along with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito.” During the recording of the album, Carey began to deviate from her R&B and pop beginnings and slowly traversed into hip hop. This musical change became evident with the release of Butterfly (1997), at which time Carey had separated from Mottola.
