[Intro]
Anytime, anytime, anytime (Ooh, yeah)
Anytime you need a friend
I will, I will, I will, I will
I will be here (Anytime, anytime)
Every day, every hour (Anytime)

[Chorus]
Anytime you need a friend
I will be here (anytime, I will be here)
Never be alone again (never, no)
So don't you fear (Don't worry, don't ever fear)
Even if you're miles away
I'm by your side (I'm by your side)
So don't you ever be lonely
(Oh) It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright, it's alright
Anytime, anytime, anytime, anytime, anytime
(Anytime you need me, anytime you want me)
Anytime, anytime, anytime

[Chorus]
Anytime you need a friend
I will be here
Never be alone again
So don't you fear (You ever fear)
Even if you're miles away (wherever you are)

Anytime you want me (Oh)
Don't ever be lonely
It's alright

Anytime you need me (yeah)
Anytime you want me (oh)
Don't ever be lonely

[Verse]
If you're lonely
And you feel you need a friend
And trouble seem like they never end, no no
Just remember
You got to keep the faith
And my love will be there
To lighten up the way

Anytime you need me
Anytime you want me
Don't ever be lonely
It's alright
Anytime you need me
Anytime you want me (Oh whoa)
Don't ever be lonely
It's alright

[Chorus]
Anytime you need a friend
I will be here
Never be alone again (Never alone again, so don't)
So don't you fear (Whoa, oh)
Even if your miles away
I'm by (I'm by) your side (Your side)
Don't you ever be lonely (no, no, no, no, no)
It's alright

[Verse 2]
And when the shadows
Are closing in
And you feel like your spirit's diminishing
Well, just remember, remember, you know that you're never alone
And forever, the strength of my love will keep guiding you home

Anytime you need me
Anytime you want me
Don't ever be lonely
It's alright

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist.

Under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, Carey released her self-titled debut studio album Mariah Carey in 1990; it went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993 and success with hit records “Emotions” (1991), “Music Box” (1993), and “Merry Christmas” (1994), Carey was established as Columbia’s highest-selling act. Daydream (1995) made music history when its second single “One Sweet Day”, a duet with Boyz II Men, spent a record sixteen weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, and remains the longest-running number-one song in U.S. chart history, along with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito.” During the recording of the album, Carey began to deviate from her R&B and pop beginnings and slowly traversed into hip hop. This musical change became evident with the release of Butterfly (1997), at which time Carey had separated from Mottola.
