[Intro: Mariah Carey]
Ooh
On and on and on
So sweet, yeah
Oh, oh
On and on and on, on and on and on
Sweet, sweet
Sweet, oh-oh, yes
You come and take me
So deep
Sweet, fantasy

[Chorus: Choir & (Mariah Carey), Both]
Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby (Fantasy)
When I close my eyes, you come and you take me
On and on and on, it's so deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby (Sweet fantasy)
Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes, you come and take me
On and on and on, it's so deep in my daydreams
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby

[Verse 1: Mariah Carey]
Oh, when you walk by every night
Talking sweet and looking fine
I get kind of hectic inside
Oh, baby, I'm so into you
Darling, if you only knew
All the things that flow through my mind

[Chorus: Choir & (Mariah Carey), Both]
(But it's just a sweet), sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes, you come and you take me
On and on and on, it's so deep in my daydreams (So deep, so deep)
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby (Sweet fantasy)
Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes, you come and take me
On and on and on, it's so deep in my daydreams (Fantasy)
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby (So sweet, fantasy)

[Break: Mariah Carey]
Hey, hey
Hey, hey
Hey, hey, oh, oh

[Verse 2: Mariah Carey]
Images of rapture
Creep into me slowly
As you're going to my head
And my heart beats faster
When you take me over
Time and time and time again

[Chorus: Choir & (Mariah Carey), Both]
(But it's just a) Sweet, sweet fantasy, baby
When I close my eyes, you come and you take me
On and on and on, it's so deep in my daydreams (So deep)
But it's just a sweet, sweet fantasy, baby (Sweet fantasy)

When I close my eyes, you come and you take me

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist.

Under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, Carey released her self-titled debut studio album Mariah Carey in 1990; it went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993 and success with hit records “Emotions” (1991), “Music Box” (1993), and “Merry Christmas” (1994), Carey was established as Columbia’s highest-selling act. Daydream (1995) made music history when its second single “One Sweet Day”, a duet with Boyz II Men, spent a record sixteen weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100, and remains the longest-running number-one song in U.S. chart history, along with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito.” During the recording of the album, Carey began to deviate from her R&B and pop beginnings and slowly traversed into hip hop. This musical change became evident with the release of Butterfly (1997), at which time Carey had separated from Mottola.
