[Verse 1]
She was more like a beauty queen
From a movie scene
I said, "Don't mind, but what do you mean
I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round?"
She said I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean
As she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

[Pre-Chorus]
People always told me, "Be careful of what you do
And don’t go around breaking young girls' hearts" (Hee)
And mother always told me, "A-be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do
'Cause the lie becomes the truth," hey, hey

[Chorus]
Billie Jean is not my lover
She’s just a girl who claims that I am the one (Oh baby)
But the kid is not my son (Woo)
She says I am the one (Oh baby)
But the kid is not my son
(Hee hee hee, no no, hee hee hee, ooh)

[Verse 2]
For forty days and for forty nights
Law was on her side
But who can stand
When she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round (Hee)
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice, do think twice, woo)
She told, "My baby, we'd danced 'til three"
Then she looked at me
Then showed a photo of a baby cry
His eyes looked like mine (Oh, no)
Do a dance on the floor in the round, baby (Ooh, hee hee hee)

[Pre-Chorus]
A-people always told me, "Be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts"
(Don't break no hearts)
A-but she came and stood right by me
And just the smell of sweet perfume
And this happened much too soon
And she called me to her room, hey hey

[Chorus]
Billie Jean is not my lover (Woo)
She’s just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
(No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, hoo)
Billie Jean is not my lover
She’s just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son (No, no)
She says I am the one (Oh baby)
But the kid is not my son
(Hee hee hee, hee, hee, hee - hee, hoo)

She says I am the one
But the kid is not my son
(No, no, no, woo, hoo)
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
(No one danced with me, baby)
But the kid is not my son
(No, no, no, no, no, no, no)
She says I am the one (No, babe)
But the kid is not my son (No, no, no)
She says I am the one
(You know what you did)
She says he is my son
(Breaking my heart, babe)
She says I am the one

[Outro]
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
She is the one
Billie Jean is not my lover
She is the one
Don’t call me Billie Jean, woo
Billie Jean is not my lover
She is the one
She stumbled onto the scene, hee
Billie Jean is...
Billie Jean is...
Billie Jean is...
Hey, woo, ah baby, ah darlin', ah yeah, ooh, ooh, yeah
Ah baby, ah, darlin', ah baby, ooh, ah darlin', ooh
You know you can’t (Not my lover)
Hee, you know you can't (Not my lover)
Hee, ooh (Not my lover)
Ah (Not my lover)
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is not my lover
Billie Jean is...
Billie Jean is...
Billie Jean is not my lover

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. Jackson began his career when he was seven years old as the lead singer of the Jackson 5, breaking into stardom in 1969 after signing into Motown. The Jackson 5’s first four singles all peaked at number one on the Billboard 100, and soon after Michael pursued a solo career.

His breakthrough fifth album, 1979’s Off The Wall produced four top ten hits (including “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”) and sold 20 million copies, establishing him as a household name. The album was followed with 1982’s Thriller, which became the best selling album of all time, and was the first album to feature seven top 10 singles, including “Billie Jean” and “Beat It.”

In 1985, Michael contributed to the collaboration single “We Are The World”, which remains one of the best-selling singles of all time and raised nearly $65 million for famine relief.
