[Verse 1]
You fell in love with a vampire
You wanna get it for free
Then say hello to the brush fire, baby
You gotta take it from me, I’m gonna take it from you

[Pre-Chorus]
Say hello to the good times
And say hello to the sun
They’re sitting back on an empire
While the world lays back, puts a kid behind that gun

[Chorus]
If we crash this time
They got machines to keep us alive
When the mixtape plays
Choke down the words with no meaning

[Post-Chorus]
I stopped bleeding three years ago
While you keep screaming for revolution
Me and my surgeons and my street walking friends
We got no heroes, 'cause our heroes are dead

[Verse 2]
Say hello to the program
We’re gonna give it for free
Hook up the veins to the antibodies
Got it with the disease, we’re gonna give it to you

[Pre-Chorus]
Say goodbye to the good times
You’re loaded up with the fame
You’re dressing up like a virus
But the words get lost when we all look the same

[Chorus]
If we crash this time
They got machines to keep us alive
When the mixtape plays
Choke down the words with no meaning

[Post-Chorus]
I stopped bleeding three years ago
While you keep screaming for revolution
Me and my surgeons and my street walking friends
We got no heroes 'cause our heroes are dead, yeah

[Bridge]
You fell in love with a vampire, torch up for the empire
Say hello to the brush fire, the microphone's got a tap wire
You fell in love with a vampire, torch up for the empire
Say hello to the brush fire, the microphone's got a tap wire!

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]
Yeah, if we crash this time
They got machines to keep us alive
While the army wives
Choke down the war with no meaning

[Post-Chorus]
I stopped bleeding three years ago
While you keep screaming for revolution
Because rebellion's not a T-shirt you sell
You keep your money, and I’ll see you in hell

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance is an alt/punk/hardcore rock band that produced four studio albums and a compilation album over their initial twelve-year lifespan from 2001-2013. They then went on a six-year hiatus, until Halloween of 2019, when they announced a long-awaited revival of the band. They have touched the hearts of millions through their honest, raw lyrics and inspirational stories.

The band started after front-man and founder Gerard Way witnessed the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City. He felt compelled to empower people and make a difference in the world. As a result, he wrote the band’s first song, “Skylines And Turnstiles.” He shared the lyrics with his friend Matt Pelissier, who agreed to be the then-unnamed band’s drummer. Gerard then recruited Ray Toro, whom he used to be in a band with as the lead guitarist, and eventually invited his brother Mikey Way to be the bassist, and Frank Iero to be the rhythm guitarist.

Their first album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, was released in 2002 and was recorded in Matt Pelissier’s attic. Because of this, some of the songs are lovingly referred to as the “attic demos.” The album’s copyright warning
