[Verse 1]
Heavy gold chains and velours, body language boss
On this highly dangerous course between the streets and up north
Carti' specs, pray the angels direct my walk
I just talked with big homie up in federal court
He was double-crossed, nowadays staying real is a loss
’Cause cowards prey on niggas with good hearts
So I pray for them, they violate this way
I got the K for them, but I refrain from doing Shaitan's work
We doin' wrong, taking our face off Earth
Black victory, I envision Tiffany blue coupes
Angels pop out the hood like "poof," Black youth
What’s the science? Man, we the fallen stars flying

[Chorus]
Black youth, flying, fallen stars
Black youth, fly-flying, fallen stars flying
Angels pop out the hood like "poof"
Now-nowadays staying real is a loss (So I pray for them)
Black youth, flying, fallen stars
Black youth, fly-flying, fallen stars, flying
Black youth (Flying high), fallen stars flying
Angels pop out the hood like "poof" (So I pray for them)

[Verse 2]
When you a strong, stand-tall soldier
They lean on you, expectin' you not to fall over
Like you never feel pressure, like you made of steel
So I absorb your pain, I like to see you chill
But the shit start weighin' on me
Liftin' you up without a day off, homie
It's gettin' hard, plus the haters on me
I met a young queen, the little girl asked for my autograph
She said my verse from "Black Girl Lost" made her find her way
She said she got tatted wings on her back
So when she want she can fly away

[Chorus]
Black youth, flying, fallen stars
Black youth, fly-flying, fallen stars flying
Angels pop out the hood like "poof"
Now-nowadays staying real is a loss (So I pray for them)
Black youth, flying, fallen stars
Black youth, fly-flying, fallen stars, flying
Black youth (Flying high), fallen stars flying
Angels pop out the hood like "poof" (So I pray for them)

[Post-Chorus]
Pray for them
Pray for them
Pray for them
Pray for them

[Outro]
Black youth
Fallen stars flying
Angels pop out the hood like "poof"
No-nowadays staying real is a loss (So I pray for them)
Black youth, fallen stars
Black youth, fallen stars
Black youth, flying high
Angels pop out the hood like "poof" (So I pray for them)

Nas

Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, known to one and all as Nas, is one of hip-hop’s best-known, most mercurial, and lyrically blessed figures ever to touch the microphone. Since his heart-stopping debut turn on Main Source’s “Live at the Barbeque,” Nas has delivered countless beautifully structured, thought-provoking, keenly observed verses.

Growing up in Queens, NY, Nas never really performed in big crowds—he kept to himself. Nas used a different type of vernacular that others didn’t understand, which helped him to stand out from other rappers from his era.

With every ensuing album, Nas always reminds fans that he’s still the same Queensbridge MC who crafted one of the greatest albums of all time, and arguably the bible of Hip-Hop, Illmatic.
