[Chorus]
G is for the gang of money I make
F is for the gang of fools I break
U is for the undisputed champ
N is cause you never gonna get the mic back
K is for the niggas that I knock on they back
Damn it feels good to see Long Beach on the map
'Til the day I'm dead I'm gon' keep that shit real
Now you niggas know G-Funk's for real
(ya know)

[Verse 1]
To those people who don't believe in G-funk
Try to take my style and make a quick buck
Here's a message to one and all
Your pass is revoked
And man I'm havin' a ball
Any questions come and see me
The king of G-Funk the one and only (ya know)
Congratulations you sound like Nate
You took my old hook and got me paid
Hey...

[Chorus]
G is for the gang of money I make
F is for the gang of fools I break
U is for the undisputed champ
N is cause you never gonna get the mic back (ya know)
K is for the niggas that I knock on they back
Damn it feels good to see Long Beach on the map
'Til the day I'm dead I'm gon' keep that shit real
Now you niggas know G-Funk's for real

[Verse 2]
Some people are nothin' but clones
Some people have styles of their own (ya know)
Some people are copycats
These people can't get the mic back
Can you feel me, one-hitter quitters?
You can't copy me, I'm one in a million
Call any expert and you can ask him
Copy machines can't copy platinum
Hey... (ya know)

G is for the gang of money I make
F is for the gang of fools I break
U is for the undisputed champ
N is cause you never gonna get the mic back (ya know)
K is for the niggas that I knock on they back
Damn it feels good to see Long Beach on the map
'Til the day I'm dead I'm gon' keep that shit real
Now you niggas know G-Funk's for real

[Bridge]
When you feel like some cavy G-Funk
You need some music to bump in your trunk
I got a baseline, a gangsta tune
Put on the classics and your head will be movin' soon
Hey... (ya know)

[Outro]
That's what G Funk means to me
It's alright
That's what G Funk means to me
Ya know
Ya know

Nate Dogg

In 1990, Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and their friend Warren G, formed a rap trio called 213. 213 recorded their first demo in the back of the famed V.I.P. record store in Long Beach, the demo was later heard by Dr. Dre at a house party and he was instantly hooked on the soulful voice of Nate.

Nate Dogg made his debut on The Chronic. Singing in what later become his trademark style, he was well received by fans and critics alike, and would go on to sign with Death Row Records in 1993. Nate Dogg was also featured on Mista Grimm’s “Indosmoke” with Warren G. Then in 1994 he produced his first hit single “Regulate” with Warren G. Nate Dogg was also featured in many releases of the late 2Pac. Then in 1998 after a tumultuous time at Death Row Records he released his first two albums. The double album was titled G-Funk Classics Vol. 1 & 2 and was followed up in late 2001 with Music & Me. After a number of delays and an original release date of April 2004, his self-titled album was released in 2008.

Nate Dogg passed away on March 15, 2011, due to complications from strokes.
