[Intro: Ricky Bell, Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown]
This is for the hundred dollar billers
For my butter pecan Ricans
And my chocolate Playboy bunnies, that's right
Feels so good (They just don't know)
That's right
(Bring it on, one, two, three, drop it)

[Chorus: New Edition, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant]
Oh yeah, it feels so good
(Ladies and gentlemen, welcome)
To be back where we belong
Oh yeah, it feels so good
This is where we started from
(Come on, Ron)
(Stand up on it, Ron)

[Verse 1]
[Ronnie DeVoe]
Everybody let's take a ride
Everybody just come inside
On a journey, let's go back in time
I'll keep the feeling right

[Ricky Bell]
Everybody it's time to play
Come on everybody let your Discman sway
Forget all the other sounds
'Cause New Edition is what's going down

[Pre-Chorus: Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell]
Now the time has come
To return as one (Yeah, baby)
And it's never been better
(And now) (Now) I never thought this day would come
And it feels so good to me
To be back where we belong
(Come on, come on, y'all, woo)

[Chorus: New Edition]
Oh yeah, it feels so good (Yeah)
To be back where we belong (Back where we belong)
Oh yeah, it feels so good
This is where we started from
(This is where we started from)

[Interlude: Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant]
Yeah, N.E. back for the nasty 9-6
Jam (B. Brown), bring it to me
(Stand up on that pimpin')

[Verse 2: Bobby Brown]
Been too long, it's time to get in the mood
Something to make you move
A lil' something that's in this groove (Yeah, y'all)
It'll be alright
Nobody's humpin' around tonight
And baby your mama need not to get it
'Cause N.E. is damn sho'nuff comin' with it, oh

[Verse 3: Mike Bivins]
Fancy cars 'n' everything
Silk, slips and trips to Rio
Playin' C-low with the gamblers
Lear jets and different sets
Placin' bets Big Willie Style
I gots the frequent flier miles

[Verse 4: Ronnie DeVoe]
I'm goin' places
Atlantic City to Vegas
Leaving no traces
Sippin' bubbly with familiar faces
Me and my crew, long overdue
Jimmy and Terry with the N to the E
The money-making recipe

[Chorus: New Edition, Bobby Brown]
Oh yeah, it feels so good
To be back where we belong
Oh yeah, it feels so good
This is where we started from
(N.E., back where we belong)
Oh yeah, it feels so good
To be back where we belong
(Somebody sing it, we're)
Oh yeah, it feels so good
This is where we started from

[Verse 5: Ronnie DeVoe]
We're comin', we're comin' back from a long hiatus
It's the greatest
The latest craze to hit the stages
Thee amazing
Sold out nights, spotlights, and fights for tickets
Dips with picket signs
Standing in line for hours and days
Gettin' weak, fiendin' for a peek of that N.E. mystique
Know what I mean?
As we play up on the scene
Big money players coming clean with the green
J.G

[Bridge: Johnny Gill]
Now the time has come
And we have just begun
We're coming loud and clear
N.E.'s back and they're in your ear
Ain't nothing gonna stop us now
We've gotta stay together somehow
We're back where we belong
And it feels so, and it feels so good

[Chorus: New Edition, Bobby Brown]
Oh yeah (Yeah), it feels so good
To be back where we belong (Come on, come on)
Oh yeah, it feels so good (Come on)
This is where we started from
(Are you ready? Put your hands in the air, come on)
Oh yeah, oh yeah (Yeah), it feels so good
(Oh yeah, baby) (Yeah, yeah)
To be back where we belong
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, come on)
Oh yeah, it feels so good
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, come on)
This is where we started from
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, come on)

[Outro: New Edition, Bobby Brown]
Oh yeah (Yeah), it feels so good
(Ladies and gentlemen)
To be back where we belong
(Thank you for waiting for so long, N.E. is finally back, y'all)
Oh yeah (Yeah, come on), it feels so good (Come on)
One, two, three, drop it, ow

New Edition

New Edition is a Boston-based R&B group that was seen as the inspiration of the boy bands that followed them during the 1980s and 1990s. The group initially consisted of Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, and Ronnie DeVoe. They released their debut album Candy Girl in 1983 after being discovered by producer Maurice Starr. This album yielded the hits “Candy Girl,” “Popcorn Love,” and “Is This the End.” After a financial dispute, New Edition cut ties with Starr and released their second album New Edition in 1984, which features two of their biggest “Cool It Now” and “Mr. Telephone Man.” In November 1985, they released All for Love featuring the hits “Count Me Out” and “A Little Bit of Love (Is All It Takes)” and one month later released Christmas All Over the World.

Before the end of 1985, the group decided to vote Bobby Brown out of the group for his disruptive behavior. After their 1986 doo-wop cover album Under the Blue Moon, lead singer Ralph Tresvant was considering a solo career as the group’s direction was in question. In 1987, Johnny Gill was added to the group and the quintet went on to create their most popular album Heart Break with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis in 1988. This album was released on June 20, 1988—the same day as Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel—and features two more of their biggest “If It Isn’t Love” and “Can You Stand the Rain.”

In 1990, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill and Bell Biv Devoe all went on to have successful hits. Among these hits was the remix to BBD’s “Word to the Mutha,” which was the first song to feature all six members. After a hiatus, all six members came together in 1996 to create the album Home Again, which hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and was a multi-platinum success. After some friction on the Home Again tour, Bobby Brown decided to depart the group again. In 2004, after leaving their longtime label MCA Records, New Edition signed with Bad Boy Records and released the album One Love but they left Bad Boy a year later due to a lack of promotion. The group continues to tour together and sell out shows after 30 years in the business. The group was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 23, 2017—one day ahead of the BET premiere of their 3-night mini-series The New Edition Story.
