[Chorus]
Take it away
Want to hear you play 'til the lights go down
Take it away
Don't you want to stay 'til there's no one else around?

Take it away
Want to hear you play 'til the lights go down
Take it away
Don't you want to stay 'til there's no one else around?

[Verse 1]
Lonely driver out on the road
With a hundred miles to go
Sole survivor carrying the load
Switches on his radio

[Chorus]
Take it away
Want to hear you play 'til the lights go down
Take it away
Don't you want to stay 'til there's no one else around?

Take it away
Want to hear you play 'til the lights go down
Take it away
Don't you want to stay 'til there's no one else around?

[Verse 2]
In the audience watching the show
With a paper in his hand (in his hand, in his hand)
Some important impresario
Has a message for the band
Oh!

[Chorus]
Take it away
Want to hear you play 'til the lights go down
Take it away
Don't you want to stay 'til there's no one else around?

[Bridge]
You never know who may be listening to you
(Never know who may be listening to you)
(You never know who may be listening to you)
Take it away, take it away

[Verse 3]
After hours, late in the bar
By a darkened corner seat
Faded flowers wade in the jar
Till the evening is complete
(Complete, complete, complete)

[Outro]
(Hah!
Ah!
Ah!
Ah!)

Paul McCartney

Sir James Paul McCartney, born June 18, 1942, is the single most successful music artist of all time. He found worldwide fame as the bass player and vocalist for The Beatles, and has continued to enjoy commercial success long after the band’s breakup.

His post-Beatles projects—the most lucrative of which was the band Wings, alongside then-wife Linda Eastman—have been met with mixed critical reception but he still retains a substantial public following, regularly conducting worldwide arena tours well into his later years.

His album sales with The Beatles, Wings and solo endeavours combined come to over 100 million, and his net worth was estimated to be approximately $1.2 billion circa 2018. He was knighted in 1997 and is known for his activism.
